Red Dot...you know what that means? A little good news from the studio!
One of my artworks has found a new home, and it’s always such a lovely feeling when someone connects with a piece enough to want to live with it. This one's companion sold a few weeks ago...and this one is now flying off to AZ.
I’m sharing this as a little encouragement to my fellow artists. Keep creating, keep putting your work out into the world, and trust that the right person may be waiting to find it.
Art is still finding its people. 🧡

I found a new way to clean off my brayer while making gelli papers...so much more fun to create little landscapes on my new favorite surface...wet strength tissue paper.

It's always wonderful to have someone love a piece of your art and want it on their wall....even more special when you get to personally deliver it to their home and see where it will hang. Thank you to collectors Al & Donna for visiting my art once again...I am honored that you own two of my favorite pieces! Enjoy!

So happy to be in the OMA/Covet show opening tonight in the Covet Gallery in Oceanside for "In Flux". Oceanside Museum of Art / Artists Alliance always puts on wonderful show! I'll be missing opening night as I'm in a four day workshop in SD this weekend...though I hope you'll get out and see the show and support the arts and the gallery!

Honored to have my work included in the 46th San Diego Watercolor Society International Show!🌟✨
This is the 5th time I’ve had the privilege of being included in this prestigious exhibition, and I’m so grateful to be part of it again.
The show opens today, September 27, at the @thesdws gallery in San Diego. I hope you’ll stop by and see the incredible work on display!

I'm honored and excited to have my piece be part of the Quiet Interruptions show at @Woodward.contemporary...juror Michael Shemchuk. It's a really cool show and opens today from 4 to 7. I'll be there at 4 if you want to meet up...then I'm off to another show. It's a very busy art show Saturday!

This is a throw back that's now back on the easel. I started it as a demo in a workshop I was teaching...several years ago. It sat in the corner of my studio until I thought...maybe it's time to give this one some attention. I was thinking it would be a vase of flowers (there's a surprise) with a plate behind it...but my friend @Susie_zol sees the moon...and I have to agree. Moon it is...let's see where that story takes me!

I'm getting ready to start a new series...not sure what it will be yet! I'm thinking a combo of what I'll learn from @m.shemchuk workshop coming up at @woodward.contemporary at the first week in October and the small works challenge starting on Sept 23rd with @sergiogomezart / @artnxtlevel.
I love a series and a challenge!!!

This transfer was so fun...and the ghost print from the previous transfer showed up on this print too! It was the ghost from the face in my last post...coming back to haunt me...in a good way! Can't decide whether I want to go in and negative paint over that ghost..hummmm? Thoughts?

From original art to pulling a print and filling it in with paint. Fun process...still needs lots of play time to get it right...but loving the looseness of it all!
