Now the dust has settled, here's the bike I used in California.

With practicaly zero maintenance, it definitely held up better than I did.

A @canyon Grizl CF SL decked out with GRX 1x and DT Swiss wheels. Ample clearance on the frame meant I was able to run 50mm Gravelking tyres which smoothed out a lot of the rough stuff!

A mix of @apidura and @straightcutdesign frame packs carried my kit and the @wahoofitnessofficial ELEMNT ROAM saved us from getting lost 🗺

Now time for some rest and rehab and then I can start planning the next one!

Heading into the mountains early in the morning, we left the suburbs of Pasadena where we began day two of our adventure. Mostly tarmac, albeit a little knee-deep snow at the top.

Was nice to see a familiar face at the cafe too 🐾 not sure how he made it all the way from Forest Row though.
