Although West Hartford doesn’t possess the same whimsy as 305 North Market Street, the tables and chairs all matched where we went for lunch. Great seeing the Roy’s passing thru CT. by @denny1925

Initially, I planned to do a video as thanks to everyone for the posts, texts, and other messages for my 50th this week. As I’ve said in the past, each name and message I see brings back fond memories and serves as a reminder as to how lucky I am. The video was to underscore my gratitude to everyone.

But, if you want to know where I am in life, this photo tells the best story.

It’s Avery’s Senior Day yesterday. I’m at the rink and surrounded by my wonderful family, with a smile that envelopes my face and makes me look like a 6-foot-3, short-haired, Shar-Pei. (Say that three times fast!)

These are the best of times, so remember to be grateful for your family and friends.

And it’s amazing what a guy in white sneakers can accomplish in 50 years.

Love and gratitude!

The little dude earned the “Hustle Helmet” today and was a menace by hounding opposing players all game long. Super proud of how hard he’s worked to keep up with some really talented teammates. by @denny1925
