I don’t know how I first heard about @Diplo but I figure it was through @turntablelab - I downloaded the hollertronix mix off soulseek and met him for the first time in 2003 at a @roxycottontail party in NYC. I was there by myself while visiting my cousin, so of course I went to the party and bugged him and low budget with CDRs of beats and mixes. Through this dude I met some of my closest and most loved friends, people from all over the world. Working with Wes I met and worked with so many musicians who I love that I can’t even name them all. With Diplo I’ve co produced songs for artists like Lil Wayne, Tiesto, MIA, Switch, 2Chainz, Tinie Tempah, Busta Rhymes, Chris Brown, Usher, Riff Raff & more.

I’m very grateful for all of this. taken in The Ice House by @derekallendja

In May 2012 I had a studio with @diplo and @maddecent in the @gson_studios building where @beastieboys and Grand Royal were setup in the 90s. On May 4th 2012 Adam Yauch aka MCA passed at the young age of 47. I was working on the @jodyhighroller Neon Icon LP at the time and was often alone late into the night - On more than one occasion I waited to leave because someone had shown up very late to do a tribute to MCA on the walls around the studio. 2 years later on May 4th 2014 my daughter was born. We really lost a unique human and musician in MCA, RIP to one of the greatest taken in Atwater Village by @derekallendja

@whitenoisemaker ‘s dog Maple has been coming into my studio to sleep on the couch every single day - she loves the space heater I think

She’s even figured out how to tell if I’m here or not and if the door is closed she scratches on it to be let in 😭 taken in Portal Louisville by @derekallendja
