Spread the word Derek’s house is for sale. Brand new roof and pre inspected with very little notes. Only 3 owners since it was built. It is a special home for sure💜 https://my.flexmls.com/adamcolvin/search/shared_links/EcfoA/listings/20260918194306192668000000

We are super excited to launch a monthly experimental electro open mic in the portal backstage // artportal gallery. We are kicking things off with a BEEP BLOOP SAMPLE LOOP show this Friday August 7th, show starts at 7pm. Please use front entrance on Portland Ave. GIANT COLORS will be joining us from Atlanta. This is the side project of Bresh from the band CHEW, who was one of the first acts to ever play portal. Transmit Productions will be bringing the house, with Trevor Lamont and Angel of the bottomless pit representing. T Pharo is twisting knobs behind the decks and slinging drinks behind the bar. Mimic will bump some beats and stimulate your eyeballs with multiscreen visuals. $5 to help pay the touring act.

If u want a Flashing Lights reunion understand that we have a fourth member now and she is a TOTAL DIVA 🪩 FL was an electronic dance party in the moments riiiiiiiight before “EDM” that @jubileedj @ayreswoodworking + myself threw with @builtbymeanred @goodpeoples at dim sum restaurant 88 Palace in Chinatown. It was very fun, very dark and we sold drinks in plastic bags (RAVE JUICE!) and this particular combination means I don’t have a ton of flicks. (Plus club photogs weren’t really a thing and the folks who were there don’t have websites anymore.) BUT! The ones I have managed to find on broke-ass Google make me very happy + I love u all. There’s more on my Substack (plus 3 years of re-upped DJ mixes, link in bio) and if anyone knows the location of the @papermagazine BEST PARTY trophy we won at the 6th Annual Nightlife Awards in 2010 (with special guest Pee Wee Herman?!?) plz plz get at me.
