These past few days have shown me just how deeply this message resonates.

Hearing people say it stirred something in them, a memory, a longing, a quiet push toward the life they’ve been putting off, it has been humbling in the best way.

We’re all trying to find our place, our rhythm, our design… and maybe this is the reminder we all needed to slow down and listen to what’s already within us.

Grateful for every person leaning into this journey with me. And if you feel called to dive in, there may still be a few sponsored copies waiting in the bio.” by @derinrites

From awarding scholarships to providing textbooks and educational materials, every effort counts towards helping young girls stay in school and pursue their dreams.

Thank you to everyone who made this possible 💛

Education creates possibilities. 📚✨

Charakids Foundation and the Folakemi Fadipe Memorial Scholarship are partnering to support students of Ife Girls High School, Osun State, as they begin the 2026/2027 academic session.

Created in honour of Folakemi Fadipe, the scholarship reflects a family’s commitment to creating opportunities for young girls through education.

On 24 September, we’re putting that commitment into action — supporting girls to stay in school, learn and pursue their dreams. 💙

Kindly support this collaboration. Every financial contribution helps us reach more students and create more opportunities.

Details on how to support are on the flyer.

One thing has stayed with me since a series of site visits and surveys I carried out a few weeks ago.

Over the course of those visits, I spent a lot of time in a city that had been consistently ranked among the world’s top three global cities. My assignment had nothing to do with people, but being out there gave me the opportunity to observe them.

I watched people rushing to work, picking up their children from school, grabbing groceries on their way home, taking calls, checking the time, and simply trying to stay on top of life. Everyone had somewhere to be. Everyone had something to do.

As I stood there watching, one thought kept coming back to me: *I wonder how many people feel like something is still missing.*

Not because work isn’t meaningful. Not because providing for your family isn’t important. Those things matter deeply.

But I couldn’t shake the thought that achievements, routines and busyness were never designed to fill the deepest parts of us. I was reminded of a void that I believe many of us carry, a quiet longing that whispers, ”Surely, there has to be more to life than this.”

I think one of the biggest misconceptions about purpose is that it’s something reserved for people with extraordinary careers, influence or success. I don’t believe that at all.

Purposeful living is walking the path you were designed for. It’s the kind of life that begins to fill that void, not because everything suddenly becomes perfect, but because you’re finally living in alignment with who you were created to be.

As we head into the remaining months of this year, don’t just think about what you want to achieve. Think about who you’re becoming. Read that book, learn that skill, invest in your growth, and take intentional steps towards the life you’re meant to live.

As I reflected on all of this, I smiled because these are the very conversations that inspired me to write *Live Your Design.* If you’ve ever felt that quiet longing for more, I believe this book will encourage you.

Six months, countless memories, and a heart full of gratitude.

Life has a funny way of surprising you with exactly what you need when you least expect it. These past months have been some of my favorite yet, and I’m grateful for every moment, lesson, laugh, and adventure shared.

I’ve learned that some of life’s greatest blessings aren’t found in grand moments, but in having the right person beside you through it all.

As you celebrate another year today, my prayer is that this new chapter brings you joy, peace, favor, and everything your heart desires.

Happy Birthday, my love. 🤎 🎂 by @derinrites

For 32 days, families have waited.
For 32 days, classrooms have been incomplete.
For 32 days, loved ones have hoped and prayed for the safe return of those abducted in Oyo State.

We, at Charakids Foundation, join our voices with countless Nigerians in calling for urgent action and the safe return of all those still in captivity.

Every child deserves safety. Every child deserves protection. Every child deserves to come home.

Spent some time in Birmingham last month at the Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE) conference, getting into the details most people don’t really notice, diving into traffic signs, policy, and all the quiet systems that keep things moving.

A reminder that good design isn’t always loud, but it’s always intentional… just doing my thing behind the scenes. by @derinrites

I’ll always be grateful for the opportunity to pour into people, no matter the number or the setting. Whether it’s a small group or a bigger space, moments like these remind me why giving back matters so much to me. Being able to share, connect, and leave people with something meaningful fills me with so much life.
