“I will persist until I succeed” is a poem that hangs on the door on my home as I exit each day. This year I put my bets on me, and won. Won because winning is defined as walking with God. I was reminded by a friend that God + you is a majority vote. And who HE says I am is really all that matter.

My favorite line, “I will be liken to the raindrop which washes away the mountain, the ant who devours a tiger, a star which brightens the earth. I will build a castle one brick at a time for I know that small attempts repeated will complete any undertaking. I will persist until I succeed!” Be great, friends. taken in Dallas, Texas by @deronssoloadventures

My Ivy Grad!! I literally don’t have the words to describe how proud I am of you!!!!! You have worked so hard and deserve to celebrate today and all the days that come. The shy 17 year old who interviewed for my program at the library is now a Morehouse and Columbia Grad! I am forever grateful that God saw fit to place me in your life; it has been the biggest blessing supporting you while you achieve your dreams. Watching you cross that stage this weekend inspired something big in me. I am so grateful for God’s travel grace and mercy and that he removed every obstacle to make sure I was there to witness greatness! Love you!!!!!!!!! 💗💗💗 taken in Columbia University by @deronssoloadventures
