My Ivy Grad!! I literally don’t have the words to describe how proud I am of you!!!!! You have worked so hard and deserve to celebrate today and all the days that come. The shy 17 year old who interviewed for my program at the library is now a Morehouse and Columbia Grad! I am forever grateful that God saw fit to place me in your life; it has been the biggest blessing supporting you while you achieve your dreams. Watching you cross that stage this weekend inspired something big in me. I am so grateful for God’s travel grace and mercy and that he removed every obstacle to make sure I was there to witness greatness! Love you!!!!!!!!! 💗💗💗

Recording @thesocialbrokers with @janamariemagic has been one of the greatest joys in my life the past 10 months, and we just recorded our best episode yet with @cristina.mccarter—EP will drop on @spotify & @applepodcasts Friday. @derondhall even came through the @memphislisteninglab!! This Friday afternoon recording session and hang is now my standard for a great Friday afternoon.

Yo! Last week I did something for the first time: I took a trip by myself that had absolutely nothing to do with work or family. I just…went! Lol. And it was everything I needed and more.

After so many events that have happened in the last month, I needed a getaway. So, I stayed a week in New York! Thankfully, I had the time, the means, and the people to make it happen.

I reunited with people. I met some in person for the first time. Saw some sights. DID A LOT OF WALKING!! Lol. Ate great food from all over the world. Gained inspiration and perspective. And so much more.

This trip was special for so many reasons. A big one is, as an artist, I didn’t always have the means to take trips like this. Doing something like this was like a dream come true.

I may have caught the “travel bug”. Lol.

Thank you to all the people that made this trip so special. I’ll definitely be back. 😊🙌🏾🙏🏾
