Currently living our worst nightmare.
I’m not one to ask for help or prayers, but right now that’s all we need. What started as a normal day off celebrating Lincoln’s birthday quickly turned into unbearable pain, barely being able to walk, and now consistent contractions every 2–3 minutes.

I was admitted yesterday morning at 8 a.m. and haven’t left since and there’s no sign of leaving anytime soon. At only 20 weeks (21 tomorrow), I’ve been having contractions for three days straight with no clear reason why. My cervix keeps getting smaller, and if things don’t improve, we may have to deliver. The chances of survival outside the womb at this stage are heartbreakingly slim.

After multiple tests, an amniocentesis, labs, 4 ultrasounds, and an MRI… we still don’t have answers. All we can do now is pray. Pray that my cervix holds strong or gets longer, that baby stays healthy and stable, and that we find a way to stop these contractions.

Thank you to everyone who’s reached out to check in, to our families for stepping up with Lincoln, Luxor, and everything at home, and to our jobs for being so understanding. And to all the doctors and nurses working around the clock, especially our high-risk doctor doing everything possible to keep baby inside for as long as we can, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

HOW do we have a SIX year old?! Happy 6th Birthday to our Lincoln!

Lincoln is the sweetest, smartest, most handsome, loving, and talented little boy. He’s the best big brother to Louie, our little helper around the house, and a kid who would live outside from sun up to sun down if we let him (so much so that his hair has literally turned blonde from the sun).

He can pretty much read any book you put in front of him, his favorite food is steak, and he loves playing baseball, soccer, football, and golf. He also claims to have FOUR girlfriends already, so apparently we have that to look forward to. 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

He’s got a little sass, a BIG personality, and absolutely no problem telling you exactly how he feels. A true straight shooter who tells it like it is… wonder where he gets that from?! 🥴🤪

One thing we hope never changes? He still wants to cuddle with us every single night & doesn’t wake up to Louie just a few steps away in our room too, one big happy family slumber party every night.

And just like that… my baby is off to kindergarten. 🥹

I was lucky enough to be home with Lincoln every day until he was 3, and then again these past 7 months. So needless to say, my mama heart is feeling ALL the feelings today. I truly can’t believe how quickly the years have gone.

As much as my heart aches watching him take this next big step, I know he is going to absolutely thrive. He is smart, kind, funny, curious, sometimes very sassy and capable of such big things. I cannot wait to watch him grow, learn, and become the person he’s meant to be.

Here’s to a new chapter, big adventures, and lots of firsts. And here’s to being home with just Louie now.

Six months of our Louie. 🥹🤍 I truly can’t believe it’s been half a year already.

At 6 months, he loves to babble, blow bubbles, army crawl EVERYWHERE, jump in his Jolly Jumper, be outside, and keep us laughing every single day. In just six months, he’s already been to Arizona and Colorado, visited Lambeau Field, went to his first concert (Forrest Frank!), and has experienced so much more than I ever could’ve imagined.

Today is also a pretty big milestone for me, 6 months of breastfeeding. Something that has been equally rewarding and exhausting, and something I’m incredibly proud of. 🤍

Six months of loving you, learning you, and watching you become your own little person. We love you more than you’ll ever know, Louie.
