Over the last few weeks I’ve been figuring out how to support Mikko and his sore feet. Obviously, I’m working with my vet to do so. I’ve done x-rays, bloodwork, lameness exams, accupuncture and chiropractic care. It all points to him being a bit too overweight, but he is not insulin resistant or laminitic—IR wise, he is on the high end of normal.
One thing I’m doing to support his feet is to get him scoot boots from @desertscootboots . Macy was so kind and generous in helping me figure out what type of boot and size would be best for Mikko. She can do the same for you virtually and stocks all boots and accessories!
I have also made changes to his diet and supplements. Let me know if you want to learn more about that in another reel.

Every fitting includes actually testing out the boots and making sure they’ll stay on during even the craziest zoomies! The sweet little Mule is ready to hit the trail with her new Enduros! We padded the sides of the 00 to fill in some of the gaps on her little narrow feet to ensure a tight fit on the hoof wall, and we were a successful and achieving a great fit!!! Thank you Sandy for your business! @mulemoment by @desertscootboots

How much CUTER could you get? This mini has padded M3s because they’re just so tiny! But we have a great tight fit with some extra padding! Reach out if you have any fit issues, your horse might need some custom adjustments! by @desertscootboots
