Over the last few weeks I’ve been figuring out how to support Mikko and his sore feet. Obviously, I’m working with my vet to do so. I’ve done x-rays, bloodwork, lameness exams, accupuncture and chiropractic care. It all points to him being a bit too overweight, but he is not insulin resistant or laminitic—IR wise, he is on the high end of normal.
One thing I’m doing to support his feet is to get him scoot boots from @desertscootboots . Macy was so kind and generous in helping me figure out what type of boot and size would be best for Mikko. She can do the same for you virtually and stocks all boots and accessories!
I have also made changes to his diet and supplements. Let me know if you want to learn more about that in another reel.

Mila is such a trooper when we go to town, and gotta stay safe and visible! What a fun Saturday night!

Also still so in love with our @circleysaddles walnut grove wide flex tree saddle! She has been the happiest pony during every ride! We ride in a @jenxequine saddle pad with no inserts. Just the wool pad!

Big thanks to @desertscootboots for taking so much time with Chip yesterday…during the hottest part of the day! You weren’t satisfied until he was fitted to perfection and he’s really loving them. Chip would definitely let us know if these weren’t to his liking. He has opinions so this is a win! 🏆

Challenging myself to get up early ☀️ and get work done before my son wakes up so I can spend more of my day being a better mom ❤️ the horses love working in the cooler mornings too so it’s a win win 🎉

Man it feels good to be back for the time being! The thing I love about this work is once the horse learns to move better they will choose it every time! Even when they have had months off! I sure love prioritizing good movement ❤️
