"The Road", 2025

LEGO purists, avert your eyes🙈!!! For this #fallout inspired piece, I mixed in different brands of LEGO-compatible elements. I also experimented with destructive techniques such as cutting, bending, and melting to add actual wear and damage to the piece.

I am quite proud of my use of color in the composition to draw the eye to the edge of the road or the Vault dweller and Dogmeat. I am quite pleased with how my diorama turned out!

Creatively, I feel myself coming unstuck as scenes like this begin to flow out of me once again. Perhaps a better way of putting it is that I have stopped resisting lol. I plan to share all the little creations I have been making over the past year as well! ❤️

"Untitled", 2024

Bricktober 2024, Day 18

??? pieces, ~4 hours (continuous)

This build was completed entirely in one sitting while I was in my "builder's trance". I initially drew from some of the techniques that @katherine_duclos_rose uses for her #legocolorconstruction projects. However, as I built, the piece began to become more representational, and I instead focused on using texture and density to better communicate my ideas. I began with a complementary color scheme, but shifted heavily to pearl gold once I realized how many of the weapon elements could work well together aesthetically. After that, it was just layering, details, creative problem solving, and more details.

I feel this is some of my best work in some time, easily top 3. I plan to iterate on it for a time then display it at my home or office.

I no longer feel compelled to continue my Croudsourced Bricktober Challenge. I have created something magnificent, and now it is time to rest. Besides, Sangdi wants the dining room table clear for dinner tonight 😊.

Thank you all for participating, either by providing prompts, commenting/sharing my work, or simply stopping by my page to see my daily model. A special thanks to @sordidcorvid for giving me the prompt that led to tonight. I love you all 💓

PROOF OF LIFE

I LIVED, and LEGO was there 🟥🟦🟨. Enjoy this poorly curated selection from like ~Nov-Dec '25

1. Finished LEGO D&D set, enjoyed building that dragon a lot (foreshadowing? 👀)

2. "Wilson" my polybag pup. He traveled with me to grandma's funeral. He had a lot of feelings about the whole ordeal, especially when I was getting drunk and hearing wild family stories. Good boy 🐶

3. Merely the beginning of my obsession with these two relatively rare colors. I just think they're neat!

4. Random build using both colors, some kind of walking mech

5. Got obsessed with the concentric curves and ended up making some kind of sentient module with a core that can be locked in place. Good SNOT study!

6. The kind of interaction with LEGO that @erica_love333 loves the most

7. Great build of the Japanese maple with Izzy and Mo. The soil color on the bottom bothers me much, but I came prepared with little embellishments. A red panda would have slapped tbh

8. My fairly recent Fallout MOC. Had a great time messing with LEGO and its competitors' bricks to simulate weathering and damage (foreshadowing?)

9. A tarot card for a coworker "Strength". I did 4 identical white plates "cards" face down, and left minimal designs on the other side. Then I revealed the associated MOC and used the card as a base. It went over well!

10. My favorite card "The Hanged Man". The intended recipient drew it by some stroke of fate 🔮. I used Syndrome's hair inverted 🧠

*Partially inspired by @danishspaceprogram 's original tabletop game.

I just like being able to move little bits around, y'know?

Finds from my ancestral LEGO collection uncovered as part of my sorting project. I think back fondly on the LEGO Studios stuntman set in particular ☺️ by @designing_nat

Does anyone know what happened with my miniature pumpkins!??! One minute they're just sitting there like usual, the next they're climbing right out of their pots! 🌱Can anyone help identify these...beings?🌿

"Signs", 2025

A little something to put up in my workspace to keep things organized. It feels *soooo* good to be around all my bricks again. I've spent all morning messing around with old projects and coming up with new ones. Life is feeling so much more liveable lately!

Custom valve covers! Just a knife and some super glue, but with there's potential here. Nice to add a pop of color to a neglected Boy 🥺

First experiments with #polymerclay ! @erica_love333 showed me her supplies and gave me some intro lessons on how to work with it. Having a lot of fun 3D printing with my fingies 👋🏻 and now I have so many ideas. Love you babe 😘 by @designing_nat
