What if Being Jamaican had its own travel magazine? Swipe through to explore the project. Created in collaboration with @beingjamaican, this travel magazine blends scrapbook-inspired details with clean editorial layouts, bold typography and immersive photography to create a publication that feels like a natural extension of the brand. A huge thank you to the team at @beingjamaican for trusting me with your brand. As someone who’s admired what you do, I found it a genuine pleasure to bring this concept to life. I hope this is the first of many issues. Although it started as a concept, it’s now something you can actually explore. Flip through the full magazine via the Issuu link in my bio, and don’t miss the final page featuring Being Jamaican’s upcoming Independence Day Road Trip—you might even be inspired to join the adventure. I’d love to hear what you think! #EditorialDesign #MagazineDesign #GraphicDesign #TravelMagazine #PrintDesign by @designingclearly
Mini-Project / Branding Exploration for Reformr— a reformer Pilates studio focused on control, discipline, and intentional movement. Using the keywords structured, minimalist, modern, and elevated, I built a clean look. Horizontal bars echo the reformer machine, while a shorter bar nods to the missing 'e' in Reformr. I also explored language such as "renew," "reclaim," and "release" to reflect the studio’s modern and wellness-oriented atmosphere. Created from a recent @designerbriefs weekly challenge. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this direction! #dbreformr #designconcept #brandingdesign #minimalbranding #wellnessbranding by @designingclearly
After dreaming up Hearth & Harvest in my last design project, I was excited to develop the brand’s identity. Without a company to consult, I considered its essence, offerings, and values. I began with a mind map exploring associations with Hearth and Harvest, sparking over 50 sketches of monograms, leaf arches, and basket interpretations. Early monogram ideas were less effective at small scales. I settled on a braided basket handle design that subtly suggests a cradle for the brand name, symbolizing the Jamaican market basket and reflecting Hearth & Harvest’s focus on natural, sustainable food. The identity uses earthy tones, friendly sans-serif fonts, and playful glyphs, creating a modern yet culturally rooted look. Swipe through the creative process, and share your thoughts. For my second project, I wanted to focus on a digital design piece. The inspiration came from the Christmas emailers I receive each year from brands I subscribe to, and the different ways they signal the season. I created a holiday email campaign for Hearth & Harvest, a fictional Jamaican breakfast brand, specifically developed for this concept. It was essential for the work to feel local and not overly North American, which presented the primary challenge of finding a balance between Jamaican Christmas traditions and a modern, recognizable holiday feel. The project began by defining only the essential brand elements needed to support the campaign, while also taking cues from effective emailers to maximize impact. From there, I designed a featured holiday product that helped shape the overall visual direction of the campaign. Hey there! I’m excited to share my first design project on this page: an editorial feature spread for Tidal, a fictional marine-life magazine I created specifically for this concept. Inspired by publications such as Blue and Oceanographic Magazine, it’s designed for a lifestyle- and conservation-focused audience. This six-page spread began with a simple sketch of an oversized drop cap, which helped establish the layout’s pacing, hierarchy, and overall flow, echoing the calm rhythm of the ocean. Swipe through to explore the project from concept to completion, highlighting my creative process and honest exploration of ideas. I love editorial design because it feels like creating art through design. It addresses a communication problem while crafting a visual experience that readers can immerse themselves in, appreciate, and connect with. I’m excited to keep diving deeper into work like this. If you’re a designer, artist, or someone curious about this kind of creative process, I’d love to connect. Stay tuned for more projects coming soon! #graphicdesign #showyourwork #editorialdesign #magazinedesign #magazineeditorial #adobeindesign #photoshop #typography #layoutdesign #designthinking #designprocess by @designingclearly
