What a magical place at The Butchart Gardens in Victoria, Canada 🇨🇦 if you love fairytale gardens & extraordinary landscaping, add this place to your bucket list! Even the trash cans were adorned with flowers 💚 You do need to take a ferry to get to the island, but it’s totally worth it for the experience 🙌 we took our car with us on the ferry so we could get around on the island, but you can take a bus to the gardens as well. None of these photos have been edited. It is the real deal 😆 Isn’t it amazing?!? #livingthedream #designingthedream #tostadesigns #butchartgardens #victoriacanada taken in Butchart Gardens, Victoria, BC, Canada by @designingthedream_

Part 1 of escaping the Augusta, GA, heat for the west coast. We didn’t expect the border to be so beautiful!!! The cool crisp air is truly unbelievable. Todd chose the PNW to celebrate his birthday this year. He chooses the place & I choose {most of} the excursions 😊 After visiting Banff a year & 1/2 ago, we knew we wanted to visit Canada again. Stay tuned for more on our trip to Canada 🇨🇦 taken in Blaine, Washington by @designingthedream_

~Life Update~ Around the end of March, the house across the street from our rental property went on the market. We knew it would go fast! It just so happens that we are friends with the realtor @riddlerealtor so we contacted her asap! We were debating on buying it, but thought we’d mention it to our daughter to see if she was ready to buy her first home & then have a couple of roommates move in for a year or so… Long story short, she bought the house; however, closing wasn’t until the end of May. Little did she know…she’d be getting engaged a few days later 😳💍 Soooo…this is Tessa and Ashton’s house, but Ashton won’t be moving in until after they’re married 😊 If you’ve been watching my stories, we’ve been busy painting the house & making a couple of changes, also, BTS helping with wedding plans. I’ve decided it’s best not to take on anymore clients this year and focus on this new season while maintaining my business as an Airbnb superhost & co-host (and of course a little traveling here & there for the parentals 😉) I hope you’re enjoying this “mini reni” as much as we are!!! It’s kind of nice that it’s not a full on reno that takes 6+ months. Tessa & Ashton have been so grateful for all of the “free” labor…not to mention “free” design work by yours truly 😆🥰 Thanks to @lillian.alannafilmandphoto for these amazing engagement photos. They were taken in front of Tessa & Ashton’s new 🏡 #livingthedream #designingthedream #tostadesigns taken in Augusta, Georgia by @designingthedream_

Tidbits from Masters week! This year was the 1st year we didn’t have any major renovations going on 🙌 it was really nice to focus on little details to make our home more cozy 🏡 Shoot me a dm if you’re interested in links to anything we added this year! #livingthedream #designingthedream #tostadesigns #augustaga #mastersweek taken in Augusta, Georgia by @designingthedream_

Since we’re iced in 😆 I thought it would be a great time to reflect on our travels in 2025. What a year it was from a staycation in Aiken for our anniversary to Canada for spring break! Then there was North Carolina for my birthday & Florida for Todd’s 50th birthday!!! 🎉🎉🎉 Outside of my love for design, we love to travel & we hope that this year brings more fun adventures ✈️ by @designingthedream_

Life lately ☃️ It could be years before we see snow that actually sticks again, so it has to be documented! 😅 We enjoyed seeing our home & our neighborhood snowed in 🌨️ I think winters in Augusta are pretty mild. am I the only one that thrives in the winter?!? I just love it! ❄️ Side note: so many people ask about our exterior paint color…it’s Graphite by @benjaminmoore 👏👏👏 taken in Augusta, Georgia by @designingthedream_

A new year brings new challenges! Stepping out in faith & trusting in God was a risk we were willing to take bc we know He is always with us ❤️ It was not easy, but I think we did pretty good at adjusting to all of the things 🙌 We are looking forward to the new year, new growth & new opportunities!!! #livingthedream #designingthedream #tostadesigns taken in Augusta, Georgia by @designingthedream_

When we are together and we are dressed up, it’s 📸 time 🥰 It’s not lost on me that no one noticed the bow on my dress was untied 🤪 Just when you think we have it all together, slide to the end & see that we don’t 😅 Love this imperfect life of ours. Also thankful for family & friends that are like family ❤️ #livingthedream #designingthedream #tostadesigns taken in Augusta, Georgia by @designingthedream_
