Our song is out! I hope this brings you some peace. Thank you for listening! 💞✨
‘I See You: Featuring @petrossakelliou and @destinymuhammadmusic ‘

In year two of covid, my @cirquedusoleil bandmate from Greece, Petros Sakelliou, sent me a dreamy yet grounding piano track that moved me to tears as I sang a stream of consciousness where the lyrics flowed in one take. Destiny Muhammad, representing Compton claimed by Oakland, :) then embraced the song with her angelic harp. “I See you” came from a moment of longing and self reflection. An internal place where we truly see the hearts of those we love and a reminder to see our purest selves, timelessly through sound and space.

One of the many things I have learned singing with Bobby McFerrin and @motion_sings for 5 years, is the practice and art of letting go.
Not being so hard on ourselves. Where the mind can release and the body can listen. I say practice because that’s exactly what this is. This is a reminder to myself.
When I’m able to be this present I feel peace and I’m not as attached to outcome. It allows me to connect deeper and feel joy with MOTION and my intuition becomes a conduit to serve the music. In fact, it’s not even about expecting that great song to come along. It’s about being ok with where we are, being our authentic selves and letting the music lead.
