##ThrowbackThursday to a very special birthday week in the Bay Area. ✨

I couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate another trip around the sun than spending a few days with one of my favorite humans in the entire world, @destaniwolfofficial: assisting her, styling her, creating together, and simply sharing space with someone I love and admire so much.

Destani is one of those rare artists whose incredible talent is matched by her heart. Her voice has traveled around the world, and her artistry continues to evolve through Destani’s Piece, her beautiful musical mindfulness project, and her work alongside the legendary Bobby McFerrin and MOTION.

I was so grateful to be there as she brought that voice and energy to @bioneers in Berkeley - and somehow, between rehearsals, styling, music and beautiful conversations, I found myself surrounded by some of the most extraordinary musicians. Definitely one of those how is this my life? moments. 🤯🎶

What a beautiful way to spend my birthday week: friendship, music, creativity, purpose, and watching someone I love do exactly what she was born to do.
Love you, Destani. What a gift it is to create alongside you. ❤️✨

2026 continues to show me we need community more than ever. 2025 I had loss that broke my heart and the gift of music, family and community lifted me to new heights filled with laughter, fire, creativity, 100’s of songs, kindred co-creators and joy! I’m grateful my voice can be a conduit to healing and bringing peace. 2025 I planted so many seeds! 💞 I can’t wait for you to hear all the music coming. Love & light to you and yours. ✨

Where is ‘Home?’

To me, ‘Home' is a return to our true nature as open boundless consciousness or awareness. Sonically, this is represented with the way the song builds into an expansive lush encompassing soundscape representing a complete return to nothingness, which is actually everything.
