We’re Married! 💍

a special thank you to our loved ones for their love, support and well wishes. Another thank you to the folks we encoutered during the day. The little gifts, laughs and acts of kindness we encountered, really made it feel like the city celebrated with us. A special shoutout to our photographer Kseniya @kadrafilm for these lovely film photos and to the folks over at @ora_lacasadelasflores who made this gorgeous dried floral bouquet during a last minute on the spot visit.

Tomorrow is Election Day and it is always important to reflect on what it means to vote. We asked one of our Impact Artists, Destiny Belgrave, what it means to her:

“Voting and the energy surrounding it is so vital to our communities. The voting season is a time where we have the opportunity to become better informed about policy and how we are affected by it. It is a time to find community and learn more about how our vote and the things we vote for impacts not only our lived experience but the experiences of the people around us.

When we as a community show up to use our voice, there is a warm and bright collective energy that is manifested. I hope this piece inspires people to tap into that energy and use their vote. Go out and vote!”

30 years ago on the 4th of June at 5:20pm I arrived earth side at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. I paid it a visit on this ceremonial 30th. Cheers to another trip around the sun and I’m so grateful for all the love felt.

Ended my day with a scrumptious meal at Sukh (still thinking about that hor mok, frog legs and khao soi), a sweet treat at Emack and Bolio and was moved by inspiring; heart stirring performance at BAM by Alvin Ailey. A must see if you can, scored some cheap up close seats on the theatr app. What a beautiful day that I tried to micromanage but once releasing control it unfolded beautifully. Perhaps a lesson for myself as I enter my 30s.

Also I realized I would walk pass this hospital practically everyday on my way to work. How trippy to walk by your place of birth on your way to take care of young kiddos. by @destinybelgrave

some things I tinkered with throughout 2025.

they feel more like experiments, to help me find my way.
been on a bit of a hiatus and even considered giving up art for good. But she always finds her way back to me, being creative is simply a way of life I can’t seem to avoid. the little artist in little destiny is still there, I owe it to her to keep at it and find that joy again.
last three slides are from one of my earliest art class projects, I was around 7.
