The hard work is done.

Nine boxers competing at Provincials starting tomorrow. One athlete in Mexico competing at the Pan Am Continental Championships starting Saturday.

At times, it can feel overwhelming, especially when I focus on everything that needs to get done and go well between now and competition day.

Then I stop. Take a deep breath. And do what I tell my athletes to do…

Stack the wins of your preparation. Draw confidence from knowing you’ve put in the work. You haven’t taken shortcuts. You’ve earned the right to be here.

When I remind myself of that, I can feel a smile starting to come across my face.

The work is done. Now it’s time to show up and have some fun.

We do this because we choose it.

Are you a woman over the age of 50?
You don’t have to want be a boxer or already be in great shape... We actually prefer the opposite. If you want to start learning something new and meet some great people...

Our challenges combine boxing for cardio along with skill-building, increased balance and coordination, strength building, nutrition guidance and the support of a community.

Jill just finished our Fall Back 4 week challenge at 67 years young. Her measurements showed she lost 5% body fat and put on muscle while increasing her endurance. She really enjoyed the coaching and accountability;

“Getting back to eating properly was the missing piece.”

And Jill’s advice? “You just have to show up.”

I’m already picturing it: the room packed, our Destiny boxers walking out, and everyone on their feet when that first bell rings.

That’s OktoberFIST. And this year, I think the atmosphere is going to be something special.
