CHAT PILE | "DEEP BLUE"

a triumphant return for my collaborative partnership with Steve M. and his team of freaks, plus new fantastic members. i struggle deeply with feelings of shame and inadequacy, and imposter syndrome. when i get to make things like this, i feel okay for a little while. this one is a fuck you to those who have made me feel worse.

Accompanied by a music video reflecting the dystopian nature of the single, dive into the world of Lathe of Heaven’s “Aurora” now! Directed by @devan_davies.

“Our new music video “Aurora” was a collaborative effort between the band, Devan (the director), prop designer ESTR
and the FX producer Ali. Together we conspired to elucidate the thematic intention of the song through tropes found in science fiction movies, art and literature. Fittingly, as the title track of the album, it ties in ideas that are evoked in the album artwork through a video format. Combined with our budgetary restrictions and DIY ethos, the final product resulted in something we think exposes a truly raw and honest depiction of both who we are as a band and who we one day hope to be.” - @lathe.of.heaven.nyc

THE INFINITY RING | "ELYSIUM"

Thank you to @theinfinityring for trusting me with this project, for being resilient while I shot a seemingly endless number of takes of their performance, and being absolute sweethearts. I started out as a fan, catching them at a gig at Union Pool, and I'm so appreciative that they let me into their little family once I kept coming to their shows and saying I wanted to collaborate!

Directed, shot, edited, color graded by me 🤳

Special thanks to @_caratotman_ + @oskfullmoon
