For one week in February, Our space in Battersea loaded up another cohort of creative talent for a week.

Once again we had Artists, producers, DJs and tech developers — emerging voices and established names — in the same rooms, making music together, passing knowledge across generations.

That's Bloodlines & Basslines... B&B was a Mayor of London London Borough of Culture commission.

And it wouldn't have been possible without the people and organisations who believed in it before a single beat was produced or vocal was recorded. Shout out @o1mprod @lapao.zavala & Isaiah behind the scenes.

Shout out to @GIKAcoustics for the Portable Isolation Booths that have upscaled the production room space & live room into a more into versatile and flexible space.

Thank you to @AIAIAI_HQ for the UNIT-4 Wireless+ monitors.

Thank you to @MayorofLondon and @welcometowandsworth for the commission and the trust that gave this project the scale it deserved.

Shout out to Devas Club - lowkey a catalyst and home that has held South London music culture.

The Battersea lineage runs deep from Evelyn Dove broadcasting from Battersea in 1925 all the way to the booth every week in SW11.

This February, we’re bringing together music creators for an intensive week of creation, collaboration, and real industry insight - and you could be joining us!

ODB Spotlight: Music Camp 2024
✨

Our latest songwriting camp at Devas Club Music Studio brought together emerging artists, music producers, and songwriters from the UK and the Netherlands for a week of music creation, collaboration, and artist development.

The Netherlands & The UK celebrate Afro-diasporic heritage in the same month and the team thought it would be a game changer to connect the dots.

Four amazing creators from The Netherlands spent the week with creators from Manchester, London, Coventry, & On Da Beat studio fam.

The camp connected Diaspora and with roots in Sudan, Curaçao, Suriname, Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica, South Africa, Uganda and more. The camp also connected diverse generations of music makers.

The sessions were filled with songwriting, production, and creative exchange –connecting established and emerging voices and fostering a community where talent grows and creativity thrives.

At On Da Beat, we’re passionate about supporting independent artists and music creators through writing camps, cultural collaborations, music industry panels, networking, and music-tech projects that open real cultural connections between UK music scene and the rest of the world.
