Long before the Taj Mahal, there was Humayun’s Tomb.

Humayun died after a fatal fall at Purana Qila in 1556. His first wife, Bega Begum, later known as Haji Begum, commissioned his tomb in Delhi, a grand project that took shape during the reign of his son, Akbar.

Apparently, love in the Mughal world came with a rather ambitious architectural budget. Designed by the Persian architect Mirak Mirza Ghiyas, the tomb brought together a vast charbagh, red sandstone and white marble, all rising into that soaring double dome, casually set the architectural mood for what would become one of the greatest Mughal monuments (Taj Mahal) a century later.

So, when someone asks what women do when they’re in love… perhaps just show them Humayun’s Tomb.

Five centuries later, it still has a active dating life in the heartless Delhi. 💅✨️ taken in Humayun's Tomb by @devika_ahlawat

August was kind,
Slipped away in a while,
Tucked in chimes,
Rewarded what was mine.
Juggle ~ struggle, all worthwhile,
Happily, with all my might,
Conquered what was lying in sight. taken in Delhi, India by @devika_ahlawat

When your classes are practical and fun.

Our professors made us write on leaf with an engraving pen. Which was difficult at first but a little reminder that writing isn’t just about the script, the surface matters too. 🌿✍🏻

Exploring how material, texture and surface interact with writing, and how changing the material can change the way we form, read and perceive a script. by @devika_ahlawat

When you are behind the camera, a few rare moments capture this perfectly while being on it.

Thanks @pri.yanshu1040 for this momentary clip.

DU era never really ends ✨️

A few years ago, at Rhapsody, I was the girl behind the camera, nervous, hyper-aware, and ridiculously happy every time a shot came together.

And now how could I not post them on World Photography Day.

Looking at these now feels like meeting an older version of a feeling I still know.

The camera changed.
I changed.
The joy stayed. by @devika_ahlawat

There is something undeniably romantic about vinyl records. 🥀

Not just the music they hold, but the fingerprints they must have gathered, the living rooms they once filled, the celebrations they witnessed, and the silence that followed when the needle finally lifted.

Some things never lose their charm. 📀✨

A favourite from Keepers of Time, a beautifully curated private exhibition by @conferroheritae. A vintage gramophone displaying a black vinyl record with a cream label, set against a warm wooden backdrop at a heritage exhibition. The polished brass horn and antique player evoke the charm of early music listening. taken in IGNCA by @devika_ahlawat

Some evenings linger long after they end. 🎀✨️
Beautiful conversations, thoughtful details, and the joy of seeing an idea come to life beyond the moodboard.

A lovely evening celebrating the launch of @nehfinefragrances 🪼🪸
