When duty calls bring your throat tattoo up to your face!

Reid came into the shop yesterday and said “I’m going to cut off my beard for work, can you bring my neck tattoo up to my jaw line?” I said “yes come back tomorrow.” We drew this on him with marker and then tattooed it. Reid has been getting tattooed @capitaltattoo780 for 11 years now. I was honoured to do another one for his collection.

Some call it scroll work some call it filigree. I’ve been doodling it for years and I think it’s edgy & elegant all at the same time 🤘🙏 Thanks for the faith dude!

This time last year at the Edmonton convention I convinced this man to start getting tattooed by me. Here we are after one year. It’s his idea but I’m creating it for him. I have people often come up to me daily while I work and mention how much we are getting done in a small amount of time. In other words; I’m not a slow tattooer. Working in many styles from realism to tiny simple tattoos. I often say ”I don’t suck” . It’s normally to avoid talking about how I feel while I’m critically obsessing over my work. Trying to get better all the time, encouraging others to do the same. If you’d like one let me know :)

Life moves pretty fast, take the time to enjoy the little things because you might miss it

Little history behind this one:
I bought the frame #antiquing back in 2013 with @thefoundrytattoo
I drew this design in @henhouse_tattoo when it was 26 Swords Tattoo in 2020.
One of my favourites @michaeljtattoos was there guesting when I sketched the original idea. Check his stuff out, the guy is a legend.
Finally Craig Fenrick aka @paintbynumber gave @jackassica and I a little paint lesson when he was guest spotting recently @capitaltattoo780

It’s all a lot to write, but I found it interesting how last minute I threw the old sketch on an even older frame that was collecting dust. There were a lot of interesting people around and it’s nice to tell the tale. Voila
