Women aren’t taught to age,
we’re taught to disappear.

To soften our voice.
To shrink our presence.
To become less visible with time.
To stop caring for our bodies
and stop expanding our minds.
To simply sit back
and wait for it all to slowly come to an end.

But this never felt true to me.

So I began to question it…
and return to my own truth.

And the truth is
I’ve never felt more like myself than now.

I’ve never honoured myself so wholeheartedly.
I have never appreciated my existence more deeply.

Age has given me this gift of
wisdom,
self-love,
grace,
and a deep reverence for life itself.

I am here to feel…
to grow…
to become the fullest expression of who I am,
all the way to the very end.

And I feel excited
for the woman I am still becoming.

This is self-love.
This is empowerment.
This is gratitude.
This is reverence.

This is being alive and more importantly feeling alive.

With so many beautiful new souls here, it feels like the perfect time for a reintroduction ✨

And at 64, a reintroduction hits a little differently.

I am no longer defined by roles, titles, degrees, or expectations 🤍

I know now that I am a soul having this incredible human experience.

As a human, I am passionate, compassionate, kind, enthusiastic, sensitive, and deeply in love with this thing we call life 🌸

I wake up each morning ready to learn, grow, evolve, and serve by sharing all that life has taught me.

I believe we are all here to honour our existence, reconnect with who we truly are, and live fully while we are here ✨

Saheli, in Punjabi, means “friend.”

And 11 years ago, that is exactly where this journey began — with a group of sahelis wanting to be a friend to a child and family in need.

What started with one simple intention has grown into years of giving, supporting, and showing up for our community.

Over time, Saheli evolved into an organization spanning four generations — our mothers, our own generation, our children, and now our grandchildren — each becoming part of the spirit of giving in their own way.

Today, I am proud to say that Saheli is a registered Canadian foundation, and through our Backpack Drive and all of our programs combined, we have directly influenced more than 6,000 lives.

As we celebrate our 11th Annual Backpack Drive, we celebrate the joy of giving and the beautiful community it creates. Every contribution brings people together, strengthens connections, and reminds us of the impact we can make when we care for one another.

And while our gifts may bring joy and support to those who receive them, the greatest gift often belongs to the giver — the feeling of purpose, gratitude, and happiness that comes from making a difference in someone else’s life.

11 years. Four generations. More than 6,000 lives directly influenced. And a community united by the joy of giving — because when we give from the heart, we all receive something beautiful in return. 💗🎒

My heart is full living what was once a dream, to make a small difference in the world.

My biggest learning lately?

When life begins to move fast, when things become blissfully busy, the only way to be fully present and stay in the flow is to slow down.

I took some time away from these beautiful squares of self-expression to pause, reconnect, and detox a little.

Because my intention for this space has always been rooted in a commitment to myself — to show up with authenticity, passion, and creativity. To never force what isn’t flowing, and to stay true to that commitment.

And I just want to say thank you to each and every one of you for your messages, your love, and your support.

I believe in dreaming big and allowing myself to keep becoming. ✨ But I believe even more in creating and being present for the small moments that define life.

My mind often runs a hundred miles an hour, excited about the next passion project, the work of the Saheli Foundation, a thought I want to write about, a trip to plan, or a new way to move and nurture my body.

And then there are moments like this one. 🫧

Blowing bubbles with my grandsons, singing with my granddaughter, sitting with my children, being with my hubby, spending time with friends, or simply being by myself. These are the moments that remind me what it means to be alive. 💛

My calendar is marked unavailable. My phone is away. I’m fully here for the joy in front of me. Life, for me is all about making conscious, intentional choices.

Today, that choice looked like bubbles. 🫧🤍

Taking care of ourselves is rarely about one big thing. ❤️

It’s the small choices we make, again and again. How we nourish ourselves, how we move, the moments of stillness we create, and the care we give our bodies and our skin.

At this stage of my life, I’m not interested in chasing youth or searching for a miracle in a jar. I’m interested in caring for the woman I am today, with intention, consistency and love.

Ravi and I had the opportunity to attend three different weddings this summer, taking us to Italy, California and Toronto!

It was a beautiful opportunity to travel, reconnect with family and friends, and celebrate the commitment of love. Each wedding was beautiful and unique in its own way, and the time spent bonding was a beautiful bonus (photos are of family and friends who are family)!

As vows were exchanged, commitments made, and ceremonies unfolded, we found ourselves sharing a glance, a squeeze of the hand, and a smile as we both quietly reflected on our own beautiful story.

Those moments had me reflecting on one simple question:

What keeps the spark alive and love fresh and ever-deepening through the years?

After almost 44 years of experiencing this blissful journey, my answer is simple:

𝘊𝘏𝘖𝘖𝘚𝘐𝘕𝘎 𝘓𝘖𝘝𝘌 𝘖𝘝𝘌𝘙 𝘌𝘎𝘖, 𝘈𝘎𝘈𝘐𝘕 𝘈𝘕𝘋 𝘈𝘎𝘈𝘐𝘕.

Ego will inevitably show up. It is simply doing its job of protecting us, but it is up to us to keep it in check. When two people consciously and consistently choose love, ego slowly loses its grip, and love wins every time.

What does that choice look like?

Ego wants to be right or avoid feeling exposed. Love chooses connection, even when we feel hurt or misunderstood. Ego asks, “How do I protect myself?” Love asks, “How do we prioritize this connection?”

Choosing love means noticing our defensiveness, letting go of the need to be right, and listening to understand. It means taking responsibility, apologizing without keeping score, and speaking honestly with kindness and care. It is having the courage to say, “This hurt me,” “I was wrong,” or “I need you.”

It is not always easy. You falter, you fail, and you have silly, irrelevant arguments. But choosing love, every single time, is what keeps the connection alive.

Perhaps that is how a marriage becomes not only a beautiful love story, but a lasting legacy. 💕

We humans long for control, certainty and predictability. When life doesn’t unfold the way we hoped, we can feel frustrated, anxious and unfulfilled. Life begins to feel heavy.

In those moments, we can pause and look at the bigger picture. We are here to live, to learn and to grow, even through the experiences we would never have chosen.

The same magnificent energy that created this universe lives within us. I believe there is a purpose for us greater than we can imagine, one we begin to discover when we stay open to what life is teaching us.

So when something feels difficult, try asking yourself, “What is this here to teach me?”

It is through learning from each experience that we grow into the person we are meant to become. Trust that even the path you didn’t choose can lead you to the life you are meant to live.

I had to share this sweet video, but even more importantly, the story behind it.

On our recent trip to Italy, we spent several days driving through the beautiful villages of Tuscany.

During a wine tasting, we met a lovely young couple from Germany, Julia and Colin. With just the four of us on the tour, we offered to take photos of one another as we made our way through the winery.

They were around the same age as our children, but as we sat down together to taste the wines, age seemed to disappear. We connected on so many levels, and the conversation flowed so naturally that, before long, we were inviting them to visit us in Vancouver and even talking about meeting in India for a trip together one day.

We talked for so long that the winery staff kindly waited for us to finish our beautiful conversation before closing for the evening.

As everyone began driving away, Ravi pulled out his 360 camera because we wanted some footage of the stunning winery entrance. To our surprise, Julia and Colin had also stayed behind. When we noticed one another filming, we all burst out laughing.

They invited us to join them, and since they had a drone, they captured this beautiful video along with so many wonderful photos, which they shared with us right away.

Thank you, Julia and Colin, for your warmth, your love, and for making this beautiful day even more memorable. We hope our paths cross again. 💕

Some encounters remind us that genuine connection knows no age, distance, or borders. They may be brief, yet the memories they create stay with us and warm our hearts forever.

Some journeys are made beautiful not only by where they take us, but by the people we meet along the way and the one who walks beside us through it all. 🤍

Forever grateful for this man walking beside me on this incredible journey. 💕

The Tuscan sun rose over the rolling hills of Tuscany, casting a golden glow across the landscape. What a beautiful reminder for every woman seeking a more authentic, purposeful life. 🌅

“Be her” is not an invitation to become someone else.

It is a reminder to come home to the woman within you, to reconnect with your authentic self, your inner wisdom and the dreams that make your heart feel alive.

THE JOY OF DRESSING UP! ✨

One of my greatest joys when travelling is choosing outfits that honour the beauty and spirit of the places I visit.

For me, deciding what to wear is part of the experience. The elegance of Milan, the romance of Lake Como and the warmth of Tuscany each inspired something different. Beautiful colours, flowing dresses, scarves and comfortable shoes carried me through cobblestone streets and unforgettable days.

At 64, I still find so much joy in dressing up, expressing myself and celebrating where I am in life.

Travel is not only about seeing a place. It is about feeling it, embracing it and allowing yourself to become part of its beauty. 🇮🇹❤️

Maybe the reasons you follow me are also the reasons someone else might unfollow me. And I’m okay with that. 🤍

Because this space isn’t about being everything to everyone.

It’s about becoming more of who we truly are.

I’ll encourage you to question what you’ve been taught, shed the layers that no longer belong to you, sit in solitude, dream bigger, choose gratitude and keep becoming at every age.

Most of all, I’ll keep reminding you to come home to yourself.

Because after all the roles we play, all the love we give and all the expectations we carry, I believe you are the most beautiful gift you’ve been given.
