Grammy-Nominated, Billboard Recording Artist & Writer Devin Di Dakta has entered Grammy consideration across five categories with his album OMEGA 11 and two singles, “So Beautiful” and “Safe Haven: Mash Up,” marking another significant milestone in his professional music journey.

The album OMEGA 11 has been submitted for consideration in Best Reggae Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. The project represents a meaningful chapter in Devin’s career, with its title connecting to his eleventh year as a professional recording artist. Beyond its musical content, the album’s consideration in an engineering category also draws attention to the technical craft and sound quality that contribute to a finished recording.

The single “So Beautiful” has entered consideration in Best Global Music Performance and Record of the Year. Its placement across these categories highlights both its performance as a musical work and the overall recording. Best Global Music Performance recognizes excellence in recordings rooted in musical traditions and expressions from around the world, while Record of the Year focuses on the artistic and technical achievement of a recording.

Meanwhile, “Safe Haven: Mash Up” has been submitted for consideration in Song of the Year, a category that recognizes excellence in songwriting. Unlike Record of the Year, which evaluates the finished recording, Song of the Year places particular emphasis on the composition, including the lyrics and melody.

For Devin Di Dakta, the submissions represent more than a collection of category entries. They reflect an ongoing commitment to songwriting, performance, recording quality and the continued development of Jamaican music on the international stage 🩷

SAINT KINGSTON celebrates this milestone as part of Devin Di Dakta’s artistic journey. The label remains committed to developing meaningful creative work, supporting independent artistry and expanding the reach of Jamaican music to audiences across the world 🌍

FIVE categories, TWO singles, ONE album.
A continuing journey in Jamaican music

In the name of art.

Devin Di Dakta might have just delivered the standout track of the season. The Grammy-nominated lyricist has officially teamed up with heavyweight producer Track Starr for “Calm,” a head-turning feature on the newly released Abu Dhabi Riddim.

Known across the industry as dancehall’s ultimate “Lyrical Surgeon,” Devin effortlessly skates over Track Starr’s heavy, infectious production. Instead of his signature frantic pace, “Calm” shows a masterful display of controlled cadence and razor-sharp wordplay, proving exactly why his pen remains one of the most respected in Jamaica.

With Track Starr providing the perfect sonic backdrop, the track is already generating major buzz as a potential hit on the riddim project.

“Devin Di Dakta, Track Starr - CALM” is now available on all streaming platforms.
