• so, “lost in lace”. Which is better, the color or b&w? Personally, and I think this might be obvious, Black & White heightens the textures and deepens the contrast. The lines, and how they cascade across @equal0ve are perfect. Enjoy.

Love doesn’t need to shout. It lingers in the quiet, the shadows, the way light falls just right. Valentine’s Day is simply an excuse to slow down and notice it. ❤️

We dipped into the archives and pulled a favorite with @alexomarie circa 2021, re-editing it through a new Photoshop technique that plays with dramatic light shapes—soft shades, organic shadows, fronds from plants, and simple forms like this heart. Old work, reimagined through a new lens.❣️ by @devoncolebank

The VHS collection keeps growing. 📼

The older I get, the more I think part of this is just me healing my inner child. But another part of me is definitely entering my dad years.

I can’t wait to show my kids a world that wasn’t perfectly sharp, instantly available, or endlessly scrollable. A world with tracking lines, rewinding, worn-out covers, handwritten labels, and movies you watched a hundred times because they were the ones you owned.

Things just had more texture then. More depth. Maybe even a little more meaning because you had to live with them longer.

Tonight’s addition: Dead Poets Society. Easily one of my top 100 films ever made. A movie about youth, conformity, courage, and the terrifyingly short amount of time we actually get to become ourselves.

Part ✌️, because apparently one shelf can hold a lot more life than I realized.

There are things here I forgot I kept. Small reminders of places, people, wins, mistakes, and versions of myself I barely recognize anymore. 😶‍🌫️

Some were earned. Some were found. Some I probably should’ve thrown away years ago.

But that’s kind of the point.

Not everything worth keeping has to be valuable. Sometimes it just has to remind you who you were, where you’ve been, and how the hell you got here. 🗺️

Still riding the high from celebrating my fiancée’s birthday at Animal Kingdom & EPCOT, so it felt like the perfect time to finally start this series. 🏰

Welcome to the first Disney Haul.

Between antiquing outside the parks and hunting through Disney itself, I came home with way too much nostalgia and absolutely no regrets. Vintage finds, popcorn buckets, backpacks, artwork, collectibles, and plenty of things I definitely did not need but absolutely needed.

Some old. Some new. All with a story.

This is the first haul, but definitely not the last.

5 of my favorite things on my bookshelf. 📚

Maybe a dumb series to some, but I’ve realized this shelf probably tells my story better than I ever could.

It holds pieces of almost every chapter. Things I’ve earned. Things I’ve learned from. Places I’ve been. People I’ve loved. Books that changed the way I think. Mementos that would mean absolutely nothing to anyone else but somehow carry entire years of my life inside them. 🥃🗺️🎞️

Some are accolades. Some are lessons. Some are just proof that I was there.

I’ve never been very good at defining myself, but maybe I don’t have to.

We may have to name our first daughter Sofia after having the best red sauce of our lives in a little checkered-tablecloth joint in Little Italy @sofias_littleitaly . There are worse reasons to name a child.. right?

When I planned our engagement, I wanted New York to feel like New York. Not the version you rush through with a list in your hand, but the one you remember in pieces.

The proposal was the big moment, sure. But I think I’ll remember everything around it just as much.

The dinners that ran late. The miles on our feet. The drinks we probably didn’t need. The places we stumbled into because we had time to waste. A city that has seen a few million love stories and, for a handful of days, let us pretend ours was the only one happening.

27 days until October 16th.

27 days until I marry you.

And lately I’ve been thinking less about the places we’ve been and more about how much life is still sitting there unwritten.

There shouldn’t need to be an engagement to take the trip. Or an anniversary to order the bottle. Or some milestone big enough to justify disappearing somewhere together for a few days.

We have a whole life of blank pages ahead of us.

And I intend to fill them. Maybe even stain them with wine and red sauce time to time. by @devoncolebank
