DFL were invited by @filmdevonuk to North Devon college on September 30th, where we spoke to 400 students about Devon film logistics and what we do across the film and tv industry.

We gave students an insight into the work we do, from supplying production equipment to providing crew for productions across Devon and the south west, as part of a wider event showcasing the range of opportunities within the screen industry in the south west.

We had the pleasure of working on The Roses, supplying location equipment AND staff.

DFL is constantly encouraging productions to take on local talent and give students hands on experience to Devon’s up and coming film makers.

We’ve worked with students across Devon for the last 5 years, and it’s so exciting to see the progress they’ve made, with some of them being able to boast that they are now fully fledged industry professionals!

🍿Anyone fancy a movie night on Wednesday in Barnstaple?🍿

"Inspiring and very enjoyable! A pinch of astrophysics with a host of endearing characters.”

Jeremy Vine, broadcaster and cycling champion

Chasing The Sun is the new film from 2x BAFTA-winning director Michael B.Clifford.

In 1973 a professor in a little known American university set out to discover the most energy efficient creature on earth: turns out, it’s a human being on a bicycle! The experiment has since entered into legend and is now more relevant than ever before. We explore extraordinary personal stories of ordinary cyclists chasing the sun, revealing the power of the humble bicycle to transform lives and help save the planet.

The film features contributions from broadcaster and ITV’s voice of the Tour de France Ned Boulting, author and blogger Jools Walker, Turner Prize-winning artist Sir Richard Long and 4x Mountain Bike World Champion Tracy Moseley.
