Colombia, muchas gracias por recibirme de nuevo!!! What a blessing to get to visit after 3 years! I got to spend a lot of time in nature and a little time on music🤩 I rested and read, ate eggs and met chickens. Swam in rivers and watched a lot of birds, butterflies, and sunsets. Caught up with old friends and met some wonderful new humans along the way. Gracias por todo! Siempre es un gran placer visitar❤️🇨🇴 taken in Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta by @devynnblythe

Meant to post these A Quiet Calm BTS/outtakes a little while ago but life has been a bit nutty so better late than never right?! The making of AQC was a fun and funny experience. Countless wig adjustments, balloon heads sliding off, along with quite a few exclamations of profanity and surprise. Somehow, not a single balloon head popped during the whole shoot until we intentionally popped them all.  Activities such as coffee drinking, book reading, animal petting, needlepoint, and strawberry feeding, all proved a little harder with actors who couldn’t see very well, but that made it so much more interesting and fun. We lucked out and had a beautiful sunny Seattle spring day for shooting and eventually, after many trials, got the perfect ethereal final balloons-floating-away shots I’d imagined.  Shout-out to Seattle’@crunchsupply for the awesome Party For One smiley face balloons, which inspired the whole video idea and added so much character to the balloon head wall. And props to one of my favorite artists in the whole world @_jean.zapata located in Bogotá, Colombia whose coffee mugs were a subtle yet important prop☕️ Will and Ande were wonderful actors to work with and it was a delight to bring this project to life! taken in Seattle, Washington by @devynnblythe

William appreciation post! Got to give some extra props to the one and only @doublepluswill who was instrumental in helping me make this video. Not only were his acting skills fantastic(!!!), but his openness and willingness to be playful, to have fun, and to embrace the weirdness of the whole video shoot, brought so much joy to the project, and it certainty shows in the final edit.  The whole idea for the balloon heads came about after he randomly gave me a pack of smiley face balloons a couple years ago. I had them floating around my apartment for a while and video ideas started percolating. The real gift, aside from the balloons, was that at every turn, no matter how strange or silly my ideas were, he was down to clown😄 Will, you rock! Thank you so much for your help and participation and I can’t wait to work together on the next thing!!! 🎈💜🎈💜🎈 #balloonheads #balloonheads4life taken in Seattle, Washington by @devynnblythe

Alright party people the time has come! I’m delighted to present the official music video for A Quiet Calm! It’s also available on Youtube for a better viewing experience (link in bio). It was made with a lot of love and a lot of laughs, and I hope you enjoy!  A longer shout-out is to come, but for now I must express a little fraction of the appreciation I have for the amazing actors Will @doublepluswill and Ande who brought this idea to life! Thank you guys for being totally on board with my vision and for having so much fun along the way!! 💜🎈🙂💜🙂🎈💜 #seattle #seattlemusic #seattlemusicscene #seattleindiepop #seattleindiemusic #keepseattleweird #diymusicvideo #balloonanimalsofinstagram #balloonheads #balloonheads4life #balloonheads206 taken in Seattle, Washington by @devynnblythe

THANK YOU to everyone who's streamed the new track the last couple days!!! It's been so fun to finally share it! I waited a long while to release A Quiet Calm as I had a very clear, very weird music video idea in my head that I REALLY wanted to bring to life. It took a while to make it happen, but I'm very pleased with the final product and will be sharing that tomorrow! Thanks for all the love and support, and here's to more strange art and more joy💙💜💖 taken in Seattle, Washington by @devynnblythe
