Most men over 35 who’ve let the weight creep on try to fix it the same way.

A 12 week challenge, keto, shakes, a new gym membership. All in for a few weeks, and it usually works. The weight comes off.

Here’s the problem with that. The program ends and you’re handed back to the same life. Same roster, same dinners, nobody watching. Six months later it’s back.

Losing it was never your problem. Every plan you’ve had was built to get the weight off.

Nobody built you the part after, around your real life, with someone standing over it.

So you end up stuck in a loop.

Every round costs you a bit more trust in yourself, a bit more energy, and another year of being the bloke who used to be fit.

We do it the other way round. We start where every other program finishes.

The Driven Man Method runs in four phases over twelve months.

Recon → we map your real week before we touch anything.
Strip → the fat comes off on the most food you can eat, with planned breaks so your energy holds.
Reverse → your food gets built back up, bit by bit, so you stay lean eating more than you have in years. This is the part nobody’s ever coached you through.
Perform → strength, muscle and fitness, chasing a goal that’s yours.

Your coach is with you the full twelve months.

On Driven Elite, our team of AHPRA registered practitioners works alongside them off your bloods.

Which lets you take it off and keep it off without giving up the dinners, the travel or the weekends.

Which means this is the last time you ever have to start again.

Swipe through to see each phase.

50 this year, a senior executive, and he’d tried a lot of things over his life.

Committing to 12 months felt daunting for Tim. Eight weeks in, he was out on a walk and thought, “geez, this is the best way to lose weight.”

He doesn’t feel like he’s missing out. The food’s great, the portions are great, and he’s back on the bike setting PRs on Strava.

If signing up for the long haul is the bit that’s stopping you, hear it from a bloke who felt exactly the same.

Dan met the love of his life when he was just 17 years old.

At 19, they packed a couple of bags, left New Zealand and moved to Australia with next to nothing.

They built a life together on the Gold Coast. Raised their kids. Made memories. Built a future.

The kind of life you dream about when you’re young.

But that future was taken away from them.

Dan’s wife was diagnosed with cancer.

For 18 months, he watched the woman he’d loved since he was a teenager fight for her life.

And at just 40 years old, he lost her.

His wife. His best friend. The mother of his children.

The person he’d spent more than half his life beside.

What followed were some of the darkest years of Dan’s life.

He shut himself away from the world.

Some mornings, it took him five hours just to find the strength to get out of bed.

There were days when even making his kids’ school lunches felt impossible.

But through everything, there was one part of his life he never let go of.

Training.

Even while his wife was battling cancer, Dan continued competing in bodybuilding.

And for years after losing her, he kept showing up.

Not because life was getting easier.

But because for that one hour in the gym, he had somewhere to escape everything he was going through.

Today, Dan is 45 years old. A father. A grandfather. And we’re incredibly proud to introduce him as the newest coach here at DFIT.

A man who’s experienced some of life’s greatest highs and unimaginable lows, yet continues to show up.

When you meet Dan, you see a big, strong, incredibly fit bloke.

But behind that physique is a story most people would never know.

And that’s exactly why we wanted to share it.

Because there’s a hell of a lot more to a man than what you see on the outside. by @dfit

You eat well all day, then the pantry wins every night.

That was Callum. He’s in his early 50s, ran his own business for 20 years and has trained his whole life. The gym was never his problem.

In his words, he’d eat right for three quarters of the day, get to the night, then “shove whatever is in the pantry in my gut and feel crap about it.”

Five months in, he preps his food, knows his portions and knows what to put in his body. He says it’s made “the world of difference, physically and mentally.”

If you already train and the weight still won’t shift, start by looking at what happens after dinner.

Whatever you do in your 40s, do NOT eat these three foods if you’re trying to lose fat…

Don’t you dare put egg whites in your eggs for an extra 22g of protein. Absolutely do not eat extra lean mince with 30g of protein for 175 cals. And god forbid protein oats with berries… 45g protein and 15g of fibre, full till lunch? No thanks.

Nah. Do it properly.

Flog yourself with an hour of cardio. Chug three protein shakes that leave you starving 20 minutes later. Live off servo food and “convenience” meals, then stand in the pantry at 9pm wondering why you’re hungry again.

That’s the path most blokes are on. And it’s exactly why nothing’s working.

So if you’re sick of it… just do the opposite of everything I just said.

Machines vs free weights by @dfit

55 years old and he thought he was too old to give it another crack.

Craig’s been a copper for 35 years. He’d tried just about every 12 week challenge going. He’s now under 100 kilos for the first time in about 35 years.

What made the difference, in his words: weekly check ins that kept him accountable, a program we kept adjusting around the niggles he gets at his age, and so much food he sometimes couldn’t finish it.

He signed on for 12 months because he wanted a lifestyle, “not just another challenge to complete to only revert back to the old ways.”

If you’ve done the challenges and ended up back where you started, this one’s for you.

The number one fatloss mistake men aged 25-32 make.

They think it has to be all or nothing.
I’m guilty for it too.
It’s just how us males are wired.
But it’s too restrictive to stick to long term.
& just outright boring.

If you want the sustainable fatloss system, DM me “PLAN”.

Ex Army, 40, on a powerline crew, and pushing 117 kilos.

Aaron felt heavy and sluggish and didn’t know where to begin. In his words, “they didn’t just hand me a generic plan.” He got support, structure and someone holding him accountable every week.

He’s now down to 105, “104 on a good day.” His energy’s up and “my confidence is back.”

If you used to be the fit one and the old way of training doesn’t work anymore, this is for you.

We’ve heard “yeah mate, I’m keen to get started” from hundreds of blokes.

Plenty of them never did.

I’ll start next week. A few beers won’t matter. I’ll join the gym when work settles down.

We’re not having a go. For a few years in his thirties, that was Dan too.

What we’ve learned is the difference is never discipline. Everyone knows what to do.

The bloke who turns it around decides it for himself. Not for the missus, not because his GP said so. Then he gives it everything, because half hearted doesn’t change a thing.

So be honest about who you’re doing it for.

Wanting it is the decision. Structure is what makes it stick, and that’s the part we run.

If you’ve made the decision, DM us “PLAN” and we’ll show you how we’d build it around your week. by @dfit
