🎙️ When the work gets hard, remember WHO you're doing it for! Because real leadership isn't just about being in the room. It's about who you're representing while you're there.

This week on Freedom Friday, we're joined by Cimajie Best, Government Relations leader at Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), for a conversation about staying grounded in purpose, even when progress feels difficult.

For Cimajie, the motivation is bigger than a title or position. It's about honoring the sacrifices of those who came before us, opening doors for those coming behind us, and speaking up for those who don't have a seat at the table.

🎙️ Hosted by Stephone Coward II

💬 What keeps you committed to the work when the challenges seem bigger than the progress?

Before you start your Sunday Funday or Recharge, I need y’all to do one thing for me…check your voter registration!

Tomorrow, October 5th, is the deadline to register to vote for the upcoming November election. Head over to VoteTexas.gov and make sure your registration is up to date.

After that, go to your calendar and mark October 19th - the first day of early voting!

It’s important that we show up, vote, and help determine the representation and decisions that affect us all. We all have a role to play - rather than sit on the sidelines, get in the game!

🎙️Real leadership isn't just knowing when to lead. It's knowing when to pass the baton.

This week on Freedom Friday, we're joined by Deputy Mayor Pro Tem John P. “Trey” Bowers III for a conversation about leadership, making room for the next generation, and recognizing when it's time to give others an opportunity to step forward.

Leadership isn't about holding on to the position. It's about making sure the work continues long after you.

Every Friday through Election Day, we're connecting the issues that impact our communities to the ballot.

🎙️ Hosted by Stephone Coward II

💬 Are we preparing the next generation to lead, or simply asking them to wait their turn?
