WILL CHEUNG.

Will is one of our Associate Directors, and having recently reached his 10 year anniversary at DGA, we couldn’t imagine life without his realist POV and peculiar way to eat beans on toast... Will is based in our Knutsford office, and whilst he has mostly focused on PQS and BOQs in the past, he is now adding Sustainable Construction and Carbon Cost Analysis to his roster! by @dgaltd

Progress inside our Chelsea apartment project.

Walls stripped back to brickwork and plaster, ready for realigning and new metal track systems. Internal partitions are now going in, starting to define the ensuite, dressing room and primary bedroom.

The kitchen has been fully stripped out, with new lining underway on the party wall ahead of reinstallation.

Every stage is checked against the architect's and interior designer's setout, with materials carefully managed and removed through the communal areas, a key logistical consideration three floors up.

Architect: Studio80six
Interior Designer: MIAKI

MICHAEL PICKERING

Mike is our Director of Quantity Surveying. After 10 years at DGA, he's practically part of the furniture! As a PQS, Mike helps clients get it right from day one, protecting their budget and delivering value for money. When he's not maintaining excellent client relationships, or keeping the DGA Team on track, you may find him listening to the dulcet tones of a punk-rock playlist... by @dgaltd

Introducing our latest project: a Victorian apartment in Chelsea, currently undergoing a full reconfiguration.

Bathrooms repositioned. The floor lifted throughout to facilitate new services. A new ensuite, a dressing room and a reworked primary bedroom taking shape.

Working alongside @studio_80six and @studiomiaki the aim is to capture the building's heritage and bring it back to life, not lose it.

More to come as the project develops.

CHESHIRE.

This project is a luxury new-build project in Cheshire. The development comprises of a substantial three-storey home with a large basement housing a full swimming pool and leisure suite, and luxury finishes throughout. What sets this project apart is its architectural ambition - the design skilfully blends traditional Georgian grandeur with contemporary touches, with standout features including a sweeping entrance hall staircase and a dedicated showroom for a classic car collection.

DGA have been engaged across both the quantity surveying and contract administration roles on the project, providing budget cost advice, managing cost changes arising from material and specification decisions, and overseeing contract administration throughout the construction programme. by @dgaltd

OLIVIA JACOBS.

Our Senior QS! Liv's idea of relaxing is cycling from Cheshire to Wales and hiking up mountains in her spare time. Sounds like she often needs a holiday to recover from her holiday. The key takeaway from this? She. Does. Not. Stop. by @dgaltd

Meet Ed- Our Managing Director! When he's not walking his dog Jessie, running round after his baby Gabrielle or eating a Gail's Flourless Chocolate Cake... you'll see him being the best right hand man that a client could ask for. Truly a man of the people! by @dgaltd

HOLMEAD.

DGA acted as Quantity Surveyor from RIBA Stage 2 through to Final Account, providing continuous cost control throughout the delivery of a bespoke private residence.

We actively managed and reported on design changes, scrutinised contractor and subcontractor costs, and negotiated throughout to ensure value for the Client.

This provided clear visibility of the developing project cost while allowing the quality and design ambition of the finished home to be maintained. by @dgaltd

NOTTING HILL.

Full strip-out. Full rebuild. One new dormer that turned a compact mews house into something with real bedroom space.

DGA came on as Quantity Surveying & Contract Administrator from RIBA Stage 2 through to final account - £500k build, 10 months on programme, delivered on budget. With most of this project being built through the pandemic in 2020, closer contractor collaboration was needed to keep cost and programme on track. The result? A home that feels twice its footprint, dressed in high-end finishes and bespoke joinery throughout. by @dgaltd
