a lil 🇲🇺 recap by @dhanieyaa_

missing LIMA23 ✈️🫶🏽 by @dhanieyaa_

Tram Sarong Melbourne 2026 ✨🚃

From a little idea when I first moved to Melbourne to 1000 people at only its 2nd edition, it’s been a whirlwind of a challenge but I couldn’t be more grateful to be trusted with the opportunity to build @tramsarongmelb from scratch.

Thank you to everyone who came to Melbourne Town Hall on a Sunday morning for a little Malaysia Day celebration in the city we now call home.

And a huuuuuge thank you to those who came down since the first edition, who saw my vision, trusted my decisions and believed in a 20 year old girl with dreams way bigger than herself.

What I thought would be a fun little tram ride now holds a big big place in my heart. Hoping to see more in the coming years! 🥹💖

Tram Sarong Melbourne 2026 ✨🚃 Crowds way beyond my expectation and overthinking of maybe, hopefully 50 people will come

So many people at Melbourne Town Hall! Thank you @cityofmelbourne @hello.marymai for the trust you had in me to put Tram Sarong 2026 on the @mymelbourne_is calendar 🌟

She saw my first raya open house (@masca_victoria ‘s Eid Gala 2026) and then Tram Sarong! Thank you Councillor @gladysliu.au for recognising young female international students

@danish.rizal was the first person to ever hear what was a silly little idea at the time! Thanks for believing in me to bring Australia’s biggest Malaysian community event @coloursofmalaysiamelb to life, and then a little baby @tramsarongmelb on the way

First time emceeing together too! Same time next year?

Pov: you’re the project director but you also gotta emcee 🎤 😮‍💨

@immigrationmuseum_melb was Malaysian for a day with the best crowd!

@fatennmokhtar @rrruonarim thank you for being a shoulder I could lean on during what was the most challenging times I’ve faced and there wouldn’t be a Tram Sarong 2026. Would’ve lost my mind without these two 💖

CG @nikyon saw my vision since the first edition and saw Tram Sarong’s potential before anyone even knew about it. Thank you CG, @malaysiainmelbourne, I’m forever grateful

Super grateful to be part of such an amazing team at @cityofmelbourne & @mymelbourne_is!

It’s such a precious opportunity to be a My Melbourne Student Ambassador, representing Malaysia and @rmituniversity in the world’s best city of 2026. Naarm (Melbourne) has so much charm, and I hope to give back to the city that has already given me so much 💗 Looking forward to working with this amazing group!

Thank you Mary for your support in this program, and @danish.rizal, @wanmfurqan_, @malaysiainmelbourne, @nikyon and @garyleecious for the support and trust you’ve had in me that’s brought me to where I am in Melbourne today! by @dhanieyaa_
