This is why we say trust the process πŸ‘€πŸ‘‰ This might be one of our favourite transformations at DHD. A complete blonde refresh for the lovely @lisacourtenage by stylist Niamh . Lisa hadn’t coloured her hair in a long time and wanted a big change , so after a consultation they both decided a bright dimensional blonde with soft warm/ cool lowlights to keep it natural, bright and flattering to her features would be perfect. The best transformations aren’t about becoming someone else… they’re about recognising yourself again and the way new hair can make you feel which is the best part about our jobs 🀍 Coloured with @montibellopro_uk always for the best colours results . Is there anything I should or shouldn't do with my hair before my appointment?? For any new a little preparation can make such a difference! Our colour stylist Niamh has made a few notes that she would recommend . "Here's what I'd recocolmmend before we meet… πŸ‘‡πŸΌ 🀎 𝗕π—₯π—œπ—‘π—š 𝗬𝗒𝗨π—₯ π—œπ—‘π—¦π—£π—’! In fact, having a couple of days of natural oils on your scalp can help provide a protective barrier, especially when bleaching. So don't worry about freshly washing your hair before you arrive! 🫢 We'll make sure your hair is thoroughly cleansed with a lovely colour-protecting shampoo and conditioner. πŸ€Žπ—£π—Ÿπ—˜π—”π—¦π—˜ 𝗗𝗒𝗑'𝗧 𝗔π—₯π—₯π—œπ—©π—˜ π—ͺπ—œπ—§π—› 𝗬𝗒𝗨π—₯ π—›π—”π—œπ—₯ π—™π—¨π—Ÿπ—Ÿ 𝗒𝗙 𝗣π—₯𝗒𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗦. WHAT IF THE ANSWER ISN'T MORE LIGHTNESS… BUT MORE DEPTH? 🀎🀍 Thoughtful lowlight placement creates negative space, adds contrast and allows those lighter pieces to stand out even more. It's not about making the hair darker for the sake of it. It's about understanding placement, tone and balance to create a blonde that feels dimensional, seamless and expensive. A little play with light and shade, which the Denuee range from Montibello Professional is perfect for. Are you a blonde who’s ready for a little change without losing your brightness? Want to know more about what a colour consultation involves ? πŸ–ŒοΈπŸ‘‡ A BTS of what's involved in a colour consultation from our colour loving stylist Niamh 🎨We'll ask about your colour history Why ? Because hair remembers. Every colour, lightener, toner and previous chemical service can become part of the story we're working with. That's why I ask about your colour history before I reach for a formula. Because the starting point isn't just what I can see today. It's everything that's happened to the hair before . It's about understanding the canvas and working from there 🎨 Your Lifestyle Your colour needs to work for your everyday life. How much time you have for maintenance, how often you want to visit the salon and how you normally wear your hair can all influence the best colour for you. 🎨Inspiration and dream colour Photos help us understand what you're drawn to, but they also allow us to look at what is realistically achievable for your starting point, hair condition and colour history. I always LOVE it when clients bring in photos , it helps everyone get on the same page and work towards what colour you'd love to achieve. 🎨We'll have a look at your hair and carry out a allergy test Before deciding on a colour, we need to assess the condition and integrity of the hair. The healthiest route to your desired result isn't always the quickest one. We will also do a skin allergy test so your all set for your appointment date . We may also take a test cutting to see how your hair reacts to different colours (especially lightener ) Also we will answer YOUR QUESTIONS ! This is such an important part of the consultation. Feel free to come in with lots of questions all about your colour and hair care . We want to make sure your 100% happy and ready to start a new colour journey If you found this helpful leave a comment or any colour questions . Or leave a β™₯️ to let us know you learned something new . #haircolour #montibellocolourist #colourconsultation #lymingtonhairsalon by @dhdatfortysix
A colourist's first look at Luxlight πŸ‘€ A huge thank you to @dhdatfortysix for sharing her honest first reaction, from opening the box to exploring every product inside 🀍 Luxlight is built for maximum lightening with maximum hair care. It's powered by Bond3 Force System, which repairs and builds bonds while you lighten, and Metal Shield, which protects against metal build-up. The results speak for themselves: x20 stronger hair* 52% more resistant to breakage** x10 softer* Plus the new Supreme line, with a lightener for every technique, from multi-technique powder to freehand clay and control oil. Lightening, without the trade-off. Want Luxlight in your salon? Speak to your Montibello rep or send us a DM. *vs conventional lightening service. **vs without Bond3 Force System treatment. by @dhdatfortysix
Soft brunette ribbons 🀎✨ First ever colour for the lovely Cecily by stylist Niamh at DHD ! Honoured to have the chance to introduce Cecily into the world of colour and for her trust in the process . "I still want to be blonde but with something more" ... Result from our Demo day with @montibellopro_uk (more bts of creating this colour coming soon ) Coloured by Niamh HUGE thank you to David from Montibello who was amazing as always in teaching the theory behind Montibello's colours πŸ™πŸ™Œ Key points from education day 🀍Learning about the UNDER range - low ammonia and silky texture 🀍Using the beautiful new ECLAT shades for toning - strengthens hair fibre . Zero lift of natural hair . This quote above was part of a consultation with the lovely Mel about how we can elevate her blonde with some depth and strategic placement. Sometimes it's the places you put the depth or contrast that really make your blonde stand out FORMULA 🀍 UNDER 760 placed to create some shadow and depth 🀍 Γ‰clat 921 - which was perfect for knocking some warmth/brassiness out of Mel's hair . ( I would have been worried about using this shade before as some ashes grab in other brands but with this range it's so gentle and has zero lift ) 🀍SILKY 7 LEVEL blonde for highlights - includes purple pigment to help stop the brassiness Thank you to Mel for being a model More results from this day coming soon To book a colour consultation with Niamh DM us or head to Booksy ( link in bio) Leave a β™₯️ if you love this result by @dhdatfortysix
