Still trying to process last night!! First of all a massive thankyou to @mr_ippon for creating such an incredible place at @ippongym - I feel very privileged and grateful to have started my jiu jitsu journey with you back in 2018 and to have now received my brown belt!

Thanks to every single person who showed up to support the team last night and congratulations to everyone else who got graded also. The atmosphere was electric - I am overwhelmed by all of the love and support I felt, especially the roar from everyone when my name was called out! The ass whooping in the shark tank was something else (don’t think I’ll forget when you all get your next promotions) 👀😂 by @dheckford

Thanks to @legionbjjtbilisi and @tysonreadjj for welcoming me in these past few months - I’ve had a great time training with you all and hope to share the mats with you again sometime in the future! Really tough training out here in Georgia, barely any easy / light rounds, everyone going full send 99% of the time 🥲😤😂 Looking forwards to a last few sessions with you all before I return back to England! 🇬🇪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Side quest today at @fortischampionship Georgian Open 2025 🥈 Haven’t competed since February and as most of my team mates and friends know it’s not something that comes naturally to me. Very happy with my mindset and approach today, was a bit tense in my first match but won a top heavy game on points with a lot of outside passing attempts. In the final I decided to pull guard and try out some of my bottom game against a younger and fit opponent - I had some success with switching between guards and a couple of nice attempts from K guard but in the end he passed and submitted me. Lots to work on, but lots to be proud of today! I came with a different mindset that was more about conquering my fears and performing the best I could on competition day and staying present.

Some very sped up mobility movements (always think they look odd at this speed) 😂 Reminder of the importance to keep your body not only strong, mobile and resilient by lifting through full range of motion but also slow conscious movement too. For me this practice is more meditative and something that isn’t really optional any more. I find it hard to balance jiu jitsu, lifting, surfing and yoga (I’d love to do them all every day) but sometimes life and energy demands don’t allow that so even just 5-15 minutes of mobility is a great way to keep supple and have some time connecting mind and body 🧘🏽‍♂️💪🏽🏋🏽

Saturday evening hosted by @lainylaird and @annaklimovaa was such a vibe. Got to try out surf skating for the first time, the music was groovy, and the community were just as cool. Definitely found a new hobby and met some beautiful people this weekend! 💃🛹
