Spindle by Ed Pretty. I picked up this 31gram beauty at the Chilliwack Annual Spin-in mid-September. The whorl is made from moose antler. Ed has several more moose antler spindles. It was difficult to choose this one. by @dianatwiss

Made a blend of wools and silks from my stash, and was quite surprised to see how closely it matches the colour of the yarn I’m working with these days. I couldn’t have done this if I tried. by @dianatwiss

470 metres/ 510 yards of 2-ply light fingering from a base of BFL/silk blend spun over the fold on support spindles. A tangible result from my morning spinning meditations. Plan is to knit a pair of lace mitts and matching lace cowl. by @dianatwiss

Finally finished this spin. Fibre was BFL/silk blend from @fibregoddess, from deep in my stash. This is part of my morning spinning practice. 15-30 minutes of spinning every morning is my medicine. I’m looking forward to seeing this yarn and freeing up some of my favourite spindles. by @dianatwiss

I changed both drive belts on my @bosworthspindles 20-year-old book charkha in less than five minutes (if you are questioning the use of “less than” instead of “fewer than” you are my people!). I was dreading the task due to my lack of familiarity with this piece of equipment. But Jonathan and Sheila know that. And it couldn’t have been easier. Old belts below. by @dianatwiss

I love the Feather and Fan aka Old Shale pattern. Here it is knit up into a couple of cowls, along with the spindles and yarn that got me there. The green/blue one is from deep stash 2015 @sweetgeorgia fibre club - Carrot Thief. And the pink one is by @bramble_ridge by @dianatwiss
