Me: Orders Chinese..Plates nicely..Sits down to eat.

My stomach after 2 bites: Actually, I’ve changed my mind. We’re full.

I don’t think I realised how much mental space food was taking up until it became a little quieter.

Before, being hungry wasn’t the only thing that made me think about food.

What should I eat?
What am I craving?
Should I order something?
Maybe I’ll have something sweet.

And sometimes I wasn’t even physically hungry.

Now, at least for me, there’s more of a pause.

I still love food.
I still get cravings.
I still have days when I want dessert.

But the constant background conversation seems quieter.

And honestly, that’s one of the changes I’ve found hardest to explain.

One of the biggest things I’ve noticed so far isn’t actually the number on the scale.

It’s the cravings.

Before Mounjaro, a craving could feel like an instruction.

“I want chocolate.”

“I need something sweet.”

“I’ll just have a little.”

And suddenly I’d spent the next hour thinking about it.

Now?

I still get cravings.

I still love food.

I still want dessert.

But there’s sometimes this little pause between wanting something and feeling like I absolutely HAVE to eat it.

And that tiny pause feels surprisingly significant.

I’m not saying this happens for everyone, and I’m definitely not saying cravings have magically disappeared.

I’m just documenting what I’m noticing in my own experience.

And honestly, this is one of the changes I was least prepared for.

Starting weight-96.5 kgs

I’ve had more “Day 1s” than I can count.

Every Monday.Every birthday.Every New Year.

Every time I promised myself that this would finally be the time.

Sometimes I’d make it a few weeks.

Sometimes only a few days.

Then life happened, motivation disappeared, and I’d find myself standing at the exact same starting line.

I’m not expecting Mounjaro to magically fix everything.

I’m still going to have to build better habits, make better choices, and show up for myself.

But I’m finally accepting that needing medical help doesn’t mean I’ve failed.

It means I’m trying a different approach.

So here’s Day 1.

No filters.

No fake perfection.

Just an honest diary of whatever happens next.This account will track not just my weight loss but mood swings,meal patterns,side effects,mistakes that i did along this journey and so on..

If you’re somewhere between your first Day 1 and your fiftieth, you’re not alone.

I’ve spent years thinking, “This time I’ll finally lose the weight.”

And then somehow finding myself back at Day 1.

So here I am.

33. Obese. And starting again.

Except this time, I’m trying something different.

I’ve started my Mounjaro journey under medical guidance, and I created this little anonymous corner of the internet to document what actually happens.

Not just the weight loss.

I want to talk about the hunger. The cravings. The food noise. What I eat. The side effects. The good weeks. The weeks when absolutely nothing seems to happen. And all the tiny victories somewhere in between.

I don’t know what my “after” looks like yet.

Right now, this is simply my before.

Day 1 starts here. 🌱
