It has felt really REALLY good finding my way back in my little shed. My little dusty sanctuary. My big escape.

And try making a dance video we did 😅 (blooper at the end).
No rehearsals. No talent requirements. No retakes. Just us, a few questionable decisions, and a lot of carefree laughing and goofing off. We even got the boys to "participate" in the fun 😜

We had the most wonderful time this weekend in Leavenworth for Oktoberfest. It was gorgeous and flew by way too quickly.
I honestly wasn't ready to leave.

It is still not lost on me that we all met on this platform. We pinned down 2019 as the year we all began chatting and really connecting as a group. And even though the Jagged Plum page has been static for a bit, we still refer to ourselves as that. All I know is that I am SO glad we connected. These women mean a WHOLE lot to me.

We just really hope to keep making pretty things for you, make memories, and keep refining our talents. Oh, and make occassional dance videos, too. 💃🏻

im just going to keep pushing in this direction. im off-roading at this point in unfamiliar territory, and i like it. i have been busy learning techniques and pretending that i have any earthly idea what i am doing. but i am sure glad youre here on this bumpy ride with me.

time has been slipping quickly the last few weeks. I truly can't make sense of time.
i long for the weekends to create, and the time just melts away. i have so much i want to create, and there will never be enough time. i have all of the ideas one could possibly hold. ♡

this is the first piece of art in the home this hangs in. first holes drilled in the new build. and i hope their space feels a bit more like home now. ♡

the first blonde piece in this style. i dove right back into the deep dibs deco diamonds. i also inlayed the emerald additions, and the stark spike angles. i feel at home with this direction. and nothing feels better than home.

i had to add the last image. it is the very first piece i created for myself about 8 years ago. side by side with where this art has taken me. or rather, I have taken it. both are true, really.

It's safe to say I poured a lot of heart in to this piece. My 3rd of this magnitude in size. But by far my most complex and explorative piece. It felt so good to dream up and slowly, methodically, pull together. What began as a small lotus... evolved... and came to life.
Here she is in all her glory. My heart is full.

... and here it is. All fixed up and ready to deliver to my sweet friend. Trials hit all of us at some time or another. Health. Life. Relationships. Work. Loss. You just never know what each day will bring. Today, I hope this atleast brings a smile. Simple as that. A sweet smile. (Reaction at end)

Sneak peek of a piece I am making for a dear friend. She has had a rough couple of years and deserves a pick-me-up.
I don't have riches or wealth. But I have lots of love to give.
And I love putting that love in to tangible things I can gift. So, here's a sneak peek of the next piece on my workbench.
