Forever a Knight!⚔️

Five-years. Two degrees. Countless memories.

It’s been an honor to wear the burgundy and blue. What began as a dream to compete at the Division I level became a journey that shaped me into the person and leader that I am today.

I am forever grateful to the FDU Knights community from administrators to support staff to my mentors. I am able to walk away with lifelong friendships, unforgettable experiences, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Thank you, FDU!

Proud of former FDU men’s volleyball player Diego Diaz (MSA ‘26), who recently spoke at Protect College Sports Act Press Conference on Capitol Hill!

Diego currently serves as the Chair of NCAA Division I SAAC, advocating on behalf of all student-athletes!

Sports gives a platform that goes far beyond competition

It was an honor to be part of @theteamdotorg 2025-26 Engaged Athlete Fellowship, a program that empowers student-athletes to use their platforms to strengthen nonpartisan civic engagement within their teams, campuses, and communities.

This year, my project was focused on supporting the efforts of the HEADstrong organization, who provides financial, residential, and emotional support to families battling cancer. Through our work as a conference, we raised $12k that will go to support the families HEADstrong works with! taken in Washington D. C. by @diego.diaz.6

Thank you volleyball🫶🏽

It’s crazy to think that this 13 year ride has come to an end. To the little nine-year old who picked up the volleyball, fell in love with the game, and said I’m going to play collegiate volleyball, thank you. It’s not easy to say goodbye to the game, but I am blessed for all the life lessons, the friendships, and the memories it has given me.

thank you @fduknightsmvb for these past five years and letting me live out my dream. While I was hesitant to take my fifth year, I am glad that I did as this group of guys helped me rediscover my love for the game. It’s been a pretty great ride. Always a Knight for life🤞🏽

Change doesn’t happen by accident—it happens when individuals are in the room advocating for the student-athlete experience. #NCAAConvention

Grateful for the opportunity to represent @necsports and @nec_saac at the 2026 NCAA Convention. At such a pivotal moment in college athletics, it has been an honor to serve on @ncaa_d1saac and advocate on behalf of NEC student-athletes. This week reinforced the importance of student-athlete representation and the responsibility we have to use our voices to help drive meaningful change.

SAAC has given me the opportunity not only to serve my conference, but to connect with inspiring leaders across Division I who are equally committed to advocacy for the present and future generations of student-athletes.

Weekend in Indianapolis with @ncaa_d1saac

It’s such an honor to be the Division I SAAC Representative for the Northeast Conference and the FDU Knights. It’s amazing getting to converse with the other 31 DI conference representatives and work towards enhancing the student-athlete experience. by @diego.diaz.6
