SURPRISE! 7. Panther off of “The Endless Summer Tape” featuring @bertabunch @aminskiibroke and @fionawkuo is out now, here’s some photos we took for the release thank you to @kimmxtran for photographing, @maddie_ladue for styling and @antsypantsy97 for assisting as well

As of today we have officially passed 100 monthly listeners on Spotify, the tape has crossed 800 total streams across Apple Music and Spotify, and 150 of those went to Panther. These are all firsts for me (Panther in terms of quickness) and it took me a while to really think about 100 individual people taking the time out of their day to listen to my music and I just want to once again say thank you so much, all I’ve ever wanted is 100 people I don’t even think I have 100 friends so for so many people who may not know me too well to give my album a spin and then RELISTEN honestly brought me a few tears I’m so thankful man seriously. So much love went into every part of it and if you did give it a listen please reach out or walk up to me or whatever and tell me what you liked or even didn’t like about it I would love to hear everything and just talk about the music!!! I will also be posting info about each individual song soon like I did with my first album so if you have any questions about anything the beat the vocals the story etc let me know and I’ll drop it in those posts. After having this project to myself (and the people who worked on it that shit went platinum on untitled) for so long to finally having it out and seeing people enjoy it I just I don’t even have words for it other than thank you, so thank you, and I have some more stuff coming out very soon. Busy week lots of announcements so I wanted to make one post. In case you missed it:

- Just dropped Instrumental Pak with a few of the songs from “The Endless Summer Tape” (available everywhere)

- Started a giveaway that you can enter for a chance to win a CD signed by everyone who was involved on the tape+a sock puppet from the videos, to enter all you need to do is use one of the instrumentals from the pack in a post and use #endlesssummertape or #ferofenix

- Updated ferofenix.com so you can now purchase the regular endless summer tape cd, just got some envelopes in so I’m gonna start packing em go get your orders in! Or just dm me to purchase

I feel like I always got too much to say to keep it brief but I been workin really hard to get stuff out especially these sock videos (at least 40+ hours of editing/planning etc). I’m so happy people still listen to the tape even almost 3 months after release (WE HIT 2K TOTAL STREAMS!!) and I promise I got real new stuff on the way verryyyyy soooon, so keep an eye out. 4 years ago today my brother and I released the first song in which I would go by Ferø Fenix, under a project called Ferø Shaw. While working on that project I had a vision to make the next one be focused on a community of artists, using our small platform to uplift and showcase artists we were fans of and making something collectively bigger than all of us. 3 years ago today I released my first self produced song “Enter Fenix”, shifting focus to what I called “The Fenix Tape” which ended up turning into my first album “FENIX”, but that original project vision still resided in mind. Today I finally release that project. I can say with certainty this is the most ambitious and best piece of work I’ve made up until today as I turn 22, and it would not be possible without all of the help I received from my close friends and collaborators who trusted my vision and did everything to push it even further. I probably spent close to 300 hours putting this together, not including the amount of time everyone else put in on mixing etc. Thank you to @maddicblack for breaking down my massive ideas into the artworks to perfectly encapsule what I want the music to feel like, @freediiver for sitting in the LC room with me 3 days a week for like 6 weeks cowriting my verses with me among his own while I worked on the rest of the project, thank you to @eytanrosenman for stepping up and mixing over half the album, thank you to all of the other engineers and features who added their own spin and sound to my ideas, and seriously thank you to everyone who posts my work every time I drop and SPECIAL thank you to those of you came out last night to enjoy it with me live for the first time whether in the stream or in front of that sub (thank you also @sylas.umoren for that), that is now my favorite birthday. We will be making CDs in the next few weeks for purchase, more info on that and a few more surprises coming soon. “The Endless Summer Tape” is officially out everywhere now, Welcome to The Desert. Rise - the final track on the album. There is so much to be said, but I will leave much of it up to interpretation as I think that’s what makes the experience. I will say that on a surface level explanation, this is MY artistic interpretation of the artwork. It is meant to score the event happening in the image, which originally had thousands of blue people at the pyramid in anticipation of what can be described as a sort of ancient tribal/religious ritual to summon an event similar to the rapture, the birth/rebirth of FENIX. My dream is to one day fully manifest this event live when I’m like Michael Jackson level. Although I tried, I chose not to have any words on this song because honestly no words could really describe or add to the feelings the track gives (either that or I haven’t leveled up that much yet), and for that reason it was almost a sort of test for me and my ambitions of world building to fully create something bigger than just a regular song and let it stand on its own. This track was built over the course of 3 months, (actually in chronological order for each of the phases) using tons of samples, some of which I don’t think anybody would have ever guessed or will be able to figure out (that’s a challenge for ya if you ever see me let me know). It is mostly unmixed, I wanted to be the only one involved in it as to me this is the full manifestation of my love and craft. One day I may return to this track, maybe a few years down the line and upgrade it for another finale, but for now it fits perfectly as the close out for the first project. I named myself Fenix because I wanted to be unboxed in what I could create and be able to constantly reinvent myself however I want. I believe if there is one thing I’ve created that tells you that (other than the entire album) it’s this. I’m very happy many of you enjoy it, tid bit I actually only put it in the track list for myself, but hearing you guys tell me what you think of it ( AS IS FOR REST OF ALBUM) very much means everything to me. This IS me. I would like to thank Maddie once again for creating the backdrop for my music as well as her input on this song/world, thank ya so much. NOW GO STREAM!! by @diego.ruedaa

7. Billie (Toppy) - I’ve always believed the best covers completely flip the original material while retaining the thing that made it special, which relates to this song (and I haven’t said anything because I’m waiting for licensing to process) because it is actually a men I trust cover🙀. I had originally chosen Billie Toppy to be part of my set list, but when we went to record I decided this deserved to be on the album as well. There is a lot of atmosphere and instrumental layering going on here, vocals and guitars poppin in and out (if you listen on headphones it’s really an experience, credit to Santy for masterfully blending it all) which I think def sets this apart from the other 2 *genre I’m still trying to figure out a name for* songs on this album. Sean and I were able to nail it within 2 takes, I laid the 808s soon after, and a few days before release after everything was ready to go Ella volunteered and knocked her beautiful guest vocals. It’s really special the way it worked out, the entire process was almost like a fever dream. Lil tid bit, the first time we ever performed this song I tried to sing it softly but the rest of the band couldn’t hear me so I ended up screaming the entire thing, I tried to see if I could work some in to the recorded version but I think it’s better without. This is also the highest streamed song off the album besides Ferø Ferragamo, so I’m really glad you guys are enjoying it I’m really excited to play it again live. This song and the rest of the album is out RIGHT NOW EVERYWHERE so if you haven’t yet go check it out! 6. STT - this song was created in a very short amount of time, so there’s a very short description. I wanted to have a song that was just straight raw energy for 2 minutes, no pauses not too much progression just dirty face melting bass guitars and yelling (Funnily, my main vocal inspiration is Rick James). It was originally recorded in the garage, but once I came to LA and played that first show back Santy Sean and I decided to re-record it. Really wanted to prioritize the “devil frequencies” if you will with those 808s, this shit is scientifically crafted to put you in fight or flight. Lil tid bit, while debating on putting a solo here I realized I was accidentally doing the notes to man who sold the world by Bowie which uses similar chords, so I scrapped it. Ok go stream it now and the rest of the album its out EVERYWHERE RIGHT NOW LINK IN BIO by @diego.ruedaa
