Project NAMI is an audio-visual experience, combining the sounds of music and nature. Performed on June 11th 2025, NAMI cultivates family heritage/history, anecdotal experiences, music influences, and everything that one can embody within music. In Japanese NAMI, means wave. We are the wave.

Shots from the music video for “MAMBA MENTALITY” by @erosemusic21 , out now on YouTube!

Being my first time directing a music video, I couldn’t have asked for a smoother experience bringing this to life. To succeed in hip hop is to play the game, and this video is all about how good it feels to win, and yet winning does not come without a price.

So grateful to my crew on this one, especially @hweilight for their beautiful cinematography. Shout out to our incredible hype crew as well, y’all brought all the energy! And huge thanks to @dehavencamera for saving our shoot!

Attendance has been taken!🔔

The Assembly brought together the UCLA community through music, good energy, and coffee🧘

In our very first collaboration, Hip-Hop Heads and Hip-Hop Congress united with the goal of showcasing our very own homegrown talent💯

This one of a kind show displayed UCLA’s own student vendors, upcoming artists, reputable performers all for FREE🤯

From melodic flows of RnB to heavy rap, each artist performed their own unique perspective on what Hip-Hop meant to them🥹

Thank you to especially to our performers for putting on an amazing show and @boondockscoffee roasters for hosting us🫶

Can’t wait to see yall next year 😉

Our @ucla_musicindustry students had the opportunity to meet and learn directly from Grammy-winning songwriters, hitmakers, and professionals shaping today’s music industry.

Songwriting, Producing & Music Publishing Panel 🎵

Our guests included:

Sam Brash @sambarsh — GRAMMY-winning songwriter, producer, and keyboardist whose credits include Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak, Kanye West, The Weeknd, and Aloe Blacc. His work includes 21 Gold and Platinum certifications, multiple #1 records, and more than 400 commercially released songs.

Lauren LaRue @laurlilou — 6x Platinum songwriter behind Arizona Zervas’ “ROXANNE,” Latto’s “Lottery,” Sam Hunt’s “Downtown’s Dead,” and songs recorded by Kelsea Ballerini, Alana Springsteen, Diplo, Illenium, and many others.

Justin Gammella @justin_gammella — Platinum and Gold-certified producer, songwriter, and vocal producer whose credits include Benson Boone, FINNEAS, Ashe, Bella Poarch, Lennon Stella, Steve Aoki, and numerous K-Pop and J-Pop releases.

Deeba Abrishamchi @deebz.a — Director of A&R at Universal Music Publishing Group, where she works with and develops some of today’s most exciting songwriters, producers, and artists.

The conversation explored professional songwriting and production, music publishing, A&R, creative collaboration, networking, career sustainability, and the impact of streaming, social media, and AI on the future of music creation.

Most importantly, our students had the opportunity to engage directly with industry leaders, ask thoughtful questions, and gain practical insights into building successful and sustainable careers in music.

A special thank you to @daxbonney Katrina K at @redbull for helping us source and organize the panel and for supporting music education and emerging creative talent on Wednesday, May 27th 🎵
