Honoured and grateful to share that Solo Un Poco Aquí (A Little While) is an Official Selection at the 35th Flickerfest International Short Film Festival ✨

This film was a deeply personal and soulful journey — one that asked us to sit with stillness, grief, and the quiet spaces in between. To see it embraced by Flickerfest means so much, and it wouldn’t exist without the collective care, trust, and generosity of an extraordinary group of collaborators.
Endless gratitude to every single person who poured their heart, craft, and compassion into this film. It was a privilege to stand alongside you and help shape something so tender and honest together.

We are deeply honoured to share that ‘Solo un poco Aquí’ will have its Australian Premiere at Flickerfest 2026.

This little film was born from a quiet but urgent question: how do we keep going after loss and grief? At its core, ‘Solo un poco aquí’ is about finding hope through human connection.

To premiere this film at Flickerfest, in Bondi —a place that recently experienced such profound loss— carries a deep emotional weight. It feels like a reminder of cinema’s ability not just to tell stories, but to bring people together. In moments like these, to gather as a community just to sit in the dark, to feel collectively, and to listen to one another can be a step toward healing.

We are incredibly grateful to the Flickerfest team for this opportunity and to everyone who has supported the film along the way. Gracias!

The Austin Film Festival has come to an end, and I still don’t have the words to describe this whole experience. Being one of only 11 jury-selected narrative shorts in competition out of over 6,000 submissions feels surreal — I’m just grateful. I met some incredible people and felt at ease among writers and filmmakers from all over the world, all united by our love for the craft.

It’s a full-circle moment for me, and I couldn’t be prouder of our project — none of this would’ve been possible without the care and heart the whole team put into it.

Gracias to everyone who’s crossed paths with me because of ‘Solo un poco aquí’. This is just the beginning, and it’s already been such a beautiful ride. by @diegosaram
