Been wanting to do a quick little review of our recent trip to @jeraonair and @rockwerchterfestival in Europe for a while now. Excuse my bad review skills.

Jera is a smaller punk/metal fest on the out skirts of the Netherlands. 4 stages thats packed with a ton of legeh bands. Will go back any day again.

Werchter is more your Daisies kind of vibe but 40 times bigger, and better. Massive festival but they really need to sort out their tent set ups.

So now for my top 10 favourite acts.

I waited like 20 years to watch @rancid and it was everything I expected of them. They are so good live and would love to watch them again.

@queensofthestoneage was mind blowing. Didn’t know what to expect of them but they were next level. Still cant believe I watched them live.

I only discovered @lornashore end of last year and fell in love with the Pain Remains album. It’s a super brutal album but I find it so calming. Their set was out of this world and how they play this fast breaks my tiny brain. Hope @ramfest will bring them to Cape Town.

Watched @theinterrupters at both festivals and almost did a quick show in Paris as well. They are a super energetic and talented family/band. Please come to Cape Town, I need more Interrupters in my life.

I was so stoked when they announced @kidkapichi for RW and let me tell you, these guys are the shit. If you dont know them, go give them a listen. They know how to rock and roll.

Okay, I havent listen to Anti Flag since the shit hit the fan but this was my second time I watched them and since I remember I loved them. Amazing live band but Im so sad of what happened.

@dopelemonmusic was dope as fuck. Been a @angusandjuliastone fan for years now and they will never get old for me. Was lekker seeing Angus in action with his new band.

@floggingmolly closed @jeraonair and they ended the fest on a high note. Nothing better than some Irish punk.

@themenzingers and their raw punk vibes was so kief to watch live. Would like to party with them and have a few beers with the guys.

@theblackkeys played all their bangers and blessed us with a killer set. They are super good live and sounded amazing. Damn boyo!!! taken in Europe by @dievetman

European festival just slaps different. Wish I can go every year but unlucky for us the ANC fucked everything up and our currency is a joke. Little video of almost all the bands I watched at @downloadfestfr , @jeraonair , @rockwerchterfestival , one club show and a @officialjackwhite show (no phone show so there’s no video evidence.

“Generals gathered their masses
Just like witches at black masses…”

Woke up this morning with War Pigs stuck in my head.

It still feels a little sad that I never got to see the mighty @blacksabbath live, but I was incredibly fortunate to see @ozzyosbourne live.

Since I can remember, Ozzy was one of my biggest role models. This dude was the definition of rock ’n roll, completely unapologetic, did and said whatever the f*ck he wanted, and somehow managed to be one of the kindest people to ever walk this earth.

He wasn’t just the Prince of darkness, he was Ozzy fucking Osbourne.

Long live Ozzy 🦇

I think the next band that should come to our silly little country is @lornashore, will be a perfect headliner for @ramfest

Ons doen die show as ‘n band met ‘n extra musiekant waaroor ons baie stoked is. @duncan_johnson5 op Sax en keyboards. Dit gaan spesiaal wees man.

Why settle for a generic, bad-looking AI album cover or poster when I can design you something kief?

A ton of layers later, a few textures, some gradient overlays and an unhealthy amount of staring at Photoshop, you get something looking like this.

Dark Continuum, the second EP from the metalcore kêrels of Stellenbosseeee.
