POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The ending of this game was pure chaos. A tight match that kept swinging until it went into overtime, ending in a moment nobody saw coming.

During all of that, there’s no time to get ahead. You’re building instant replays as the action unfolds, constantly reacting to what’s happening in front of you. Every clip, every angle, every sequence — all being put together in real time.

So when it comes time to build something like this, it’s not planned out. It’s instinct. It’s memory. It’s understanding the flow of the game and knowing exactly where to go.

That’s what makes moments like this possible.

Ever wondered what a “9–5” looks like when your office is a stadium and your coworkers are athletes? 😎 From behind the camera to the action on the field—this is how I do it. #BroadcastLife #9to5Who #BehindTheScenes #SavannahBananas by @differentjalen

You hear the broadcast. This is what we hear. 🎧

Thirty seconds before we’re back live, the truck is already moving.

Director, producer, replay, graphics, audio, cameras—everyone listening for the information they need to make the transition back to air feel seamless.

To the viewer, it’s just the end of a commercial break. Behind the scenes, it’s an entire crew getting ready to go live again. 🎥

Knowing it isn’t enough for me. 🎯

New job at FOX Sports. New system to get comfortable with: EVS.

I already know replay, but every system has its own workflow. The instincts are there. Now I’m building the speed, learning the hotkeys, and finding different ways to get things done.

Whenever I get the chance at work, I’m exploring, asking questions, and teaching myself. You can literally hear things clicking in this video 😂

I’m not as proficient on EVS as I am on other systems yet. And honestly? I want to be one of the best. That means being willing to be a student again.

Whats something that made you feel like the new person all over again?

Keep putting yourself in rooms that help you grow. 🎥

Today was my first day working EVS at FOX Sports, and it was another reminder that you don’t have to know everything before stepping into a new opportunity.

Stay curious. Ask questions. Learn from the people around you. Keep showing up.

The room you’re learning in today might prepare you for an opportunity you haven’t even imagined yet. 🤝🏾

I’ve figured it out along the way. 🎥

Some of my best opportunities came before I felt 100% ready for them.

Say yes. Prepare. Ask questions. Learn fast. Get better.

You might surprise yourself with what you’re capable of. 🤝🏾

Make it make sense. 😭

Give me cameras, cables, comms, and a full production… just don’t make me answer my emails.

Freelancers, please tell me I’m not alone. 😂

The replay is usually ready before it’s even called. 🎬

One thing people don’t realize is that we’re already building the replay while the play is happening.

By the time the director asks for it, we’re ready. As replay operators, we’re constantly “selling” our angles and sequences so the director can make a quick decision and keep the show moving.

The smoother we make that process, the smoother the broadcast feels.

It’s a small detail that makes a big difference.

Power doesn’t always have to be loud.

Sometimes it’s found in presence.
In confidence.
In simply taking up space.

Sports Girls was created to celebrate Black women through sport, fashion, and storytelling; With the World Cup Final around the corner, this felt like the perfect moment to share it.⚽️

The photos from this campaign are live now. Go show them some love and let me know which one stops you in your tracks! 😏
