Turning Youth Leadership into Career Opportunities! We have equipped 30 #PYIYouthLeaders from Zanzibar with the confidence, skills, and networks to navigate the world of work and make informed choices about their futures. Through the #DOTGoingBeyond Project, implemented by @pamoja_youth_initiative in collaboration with @digitalopptrust and the @mastercardfoundation, Youth Leaders strengthened their ability to communicate their strengths, identify pathways aligned with their aspirations, build meaningful connections, and turn their leadership experience into clear personal goals. 🌱 The impact goes beyond the workshop. Young leaders are better prepared to pursue employment, internships, fellowships, entrepreneurship, volunteering, and further learning, while positioning themselves to compete with confidence and purpose. We are thrilled to have hosted the BDS and Graduation event for our Cohort 2 Youth Peers, bringing together key Business Development Service (BDS) providers including BRELA, TRA, UTT-AMIS and Municipal Government Development Officers and GS1 (Barcode) from Dar es Salaam. Our youth had the chance to showcase their businesses, network, and engage directly with service providers and their fellow participants. This event created a powerful platform for stakeholders to share insights, opportunities, and knowledge with youth under the Going Beyond Project. From Local Fields to Commercial Supply: How Digital Marketing Transformed Vitumbiko’s Agribusiness. Meet Vitumbiko Mvula from Imalizoni Village, Jenda Trading Center, T/A Mabilabo in Mzimba. Before attending the Going Beyond sessions, Vitumbiko was like many young smallholder farmers—working tirelessly on his land but constantly struggling to turn his harvests into a stable income. He relied entirely on informal local markets to sell his produce, facing unpredictable prices from middlemen and frequent losses when delicate crops like tomatoes spoiled before finding buyers. Though he possessed a smartphone, his use of digital tools was purely social, and his enterprise remained limited by traditional, hyper-local distribution channels. Everything shifted when Vitumbiko enrolled in the 2nd Cohort of the Going Beyond sessions, where he learned business marketing and digital skills. The training transformed his mindset from basic farming to strategic agribusiness management. He learned how to build a professional brand online, showcase his farm’s quality through photo and video updates, and leverage digital platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp Business to connect directly with bulk buyers. Rather than waiting for walk-in customers, he began actively targeting commercial clients and formal businesses. Today, Vitumbiko’s farming enterprise operates on a commercial scale with steady, recurring revenue streams. Using his new digital marketing skills, he successfully negotiated formal supply contracts, becoming a reliable tomato supplier to both a local chilli manufacturing company in Mzuzu and a tomato sauce manufacturer in Balntyre.His digital reach was put to the ultimate test when he harvested a large batch of Irish potatoes; by crafting a targeted campaign across Facebook and direct WhatsApp broadcast lists, he sold the entire stock in a single, one-off sale within 48 hours! Today, we close one chapter of the DOT Climate Phase 3 journey - and celebrate the young people who have been at the centre of it. Our Climate Champions have journeyed from virtual learning and reflection, to hands-on Participatory Action Research (PAR) practice, community engagement and locally driven climate action. Today’s close-out meeting is an opportunity to pause and ask: What did we learn? What did communities teach us? What did the Climate Champions discover? And what happens next? Throughout the day, we’ll hear directly from Climate Champions as they showcase their community projects and reflections, alongside insights from partners and stakeholders who have supported the journey. From the learning space to the community and back again, Phase 3 has been about building a bridge between knowledge and action. Today, we celebrate that journey. ⁨ ⁨ ⁨ لقطات من رحلة تدريبية امتدت على مدار ١٠ أيام، شارك فيها ٣٩ مدربًا ومدرّبة من مؤسسة التدريب المهني، ضمن تدريبين متخصصين؛ الأول في المهارات الرقمية الأساسية، والثاني في أدوات الذكاء الاصطناعي، نفذتهما دوت الأردن في إطار برنامج المهارات الرقمية لمستقبل أفضل، المدعوم من ‪@unicef_jordan‬ لم يكن التدريب مجرد اكتساب لمعارف جديدة، بل محطة لتطوير قدرات المدربين، وخطوة نحو نقلة نوعية في أساليب التدريب المهني، من خلال إدماج المهارات الرقمية والذكاء الاصطناعي في العملية التدريبية، بما يواكب التحولات المتسارعة في التكنولوجيا واحتياجات سوق العمل ومع اختتام التدريبين وتخريج المدربين، يبدأ أثر جديد يمتد إلى ما بعد أيام التدريب؛ فالمعارف والمهارات التي اكتسبها المدربون ستنتقل إلى المتدربين في مختلف معاهد مؤسسة التدريب المهني، لتصل إلى أعداد أكبر من الشباب، وتمنحهم مهارات أكثر ارتباطًا بفرص الاقتصاد الرقمي هذه هي استدامة الأثر: أن نستثمر في تطوير المدربين اليوم، ليصل هذا التطوير إلى أجيال من الشباب غدًا⁩⁩ by @digitalopptrust

CONGRATULATIONS to our 570 Youth Peers who have successfully graduated under Cohort 2 of the Going Beyond project across Mzimba and Lilongwe!
