We are proud to, finally, be able to announce our partnership with A7G! They are also participating in the upcoming networking event hosted by @digitalopptrust. We have been working with this group in a similar capacity to our work with the RIC. They are doing some amazing work involving the First Nations communities of Canada. Do yourself a favour and check out their IG to find out more ✨ @a7g_official #indigenous #native #RUNorth

Here's a great little snapshot our RIC friends sent us. This captures the day that Nathalie of @dotuganda came to visit the Rwamwanja Refugee Camp! This experience proved to be very fruitful as it led to some vital collaborations with other organizations in the camp. Thanks Nathalie! ✨(she's pictured here with RIC members Olivier, Innocent and Jony)

The influx of refugees into Uganda has been steadily increasing. These numbers are further exacerbated by the famine occurring in South Sudan, leading to even more migration into Uganda. It is imperative that we support grass-roots capacity building projects to encourage sustainable, community-led development and social integration. Please click on the link in our bio to find out more about our work with the Refugee Innovation Centre.💕✨

Let's not forget the organization that got us involved in this to begin with. Katie's father works at this organization and was our connection between the Uganda and Montreal teams. DOT works on the ground with social enterprises by providing them with training, resources and technology. They are involved in organizing a networking event, the #unConference, in May. They are providing us with their curriculum and some online training in order to help out the Refugee Innovation Centre so that they are prepared for the conference. In exchange, they will learn from our experimentation with new models of peer-to-peer facilitation in social innovation and entrepreneurship. It's a mouthful but it's definitely exciting! ✨ #socialentrepreneurship #socialinnovation #grassroots #capacitybuilding #tandem #workingintandem #peertopeer #humancentreddesign #digitalopportunitytrust
