At @theuncannyexp I got to finally meet one of my favorite people and favorite artists! @digo_doodles is an artist I’ve followed online for a few years. Bought art from commissioned chatted with, tried to recreate his art in cosplay… so much and now I’ve met this amazing human and I am so so happy. And I of course hade to buy all the Monet and Emplate art he had. This print is amazing and the original art is so €#£%ing beautiful! So happy to have met you my friend! 🫂🩵 by @digo_doodles

in that post con funk, still exhausted from the exceptionally exhilarating weekend that was the uncanny experience. it’s always such a crazy venture being able to meet such excellent people in person especially those i’ve only known behind a screen. my gratitude and admiration go to my fellow amazing artist friends @rafsalazart @artofdonaguillo and @nihilo_art for letting me table with y’all, honestly could not have done that w/o each of you. also thanks to the staff, organizers, volunteers, and goers; everyone was so on point with their cosplays, super welcoming and friendly, it was truly uncanny. by @digo_doodles

the queen is in the house 👑 this is an exclusive 11x17 print for the upcoming event @theuncannyexp part of a connected print set featuring mutant representatives of four houses; house xavier , house, brotherhood, house morlock, and house hellfire. artwork done by fellow fiends and artist @nihilo_art , @rafsalazart and @artofdonaguillo honestly a lil nervous about tabling with the crew ( I haven’t done this in forever), but for sure x-static to finally be attending together to this very special convention. by @digo_doodles

X-Men: Gold Team. Rogue
Art by @artofdonaguillo

Saving the best for last, the sassy southern belle with the forbidden touch, Anna Marie!

It was always a bit of challenge reading her speech bubbles when they would spell things phonetically. I found myself saying the words out loud. Of course now, every time I read her it’s just Lenore Zanns voice in my head.

There ya have it internet people. If you like what you see and wanna see more, we’ll have these available as prints at @uncannyexp this weekend.

X-men: Blue Team. Polaris 🧲
Art by @digo_doodles

Watch out for the mistress of magnetism, Lorna Dane. She’s always been pretty prominent in the comics, the hair alone is iconic, but it was so great to see her added to the X-men97 roster for S2. Seeing her title card pop up in the intro was magnetic.

X-Men: Red Team. Nightcrawler
Art by @rafsalazart

Bursting onto the scene is the kind hearted, furry blue elf, Kurt Wagner. I love what he brings to the team, a perspective usually guided by his faith. Still, like in the opening on X2 or in Xmen97, he can be a real BAMF.

X-Men: Blur Team. Xorn
Art by @digo_doodles

To complete this set is the metal headed singularity, Shen Xorn. He has a black hole for a head which affords him servers abilities like gravity manipulation, telepathy, and healing, just to name a few.

Unfortunately he’s best known for his twins wild retcon. Twin Xorn took the metal helmet off and revealed himself to be Magneto. Even with gravity powers, I don’t think anyone was falling for that.

Also, twins are weird.

X-Men: Red Team. Jean Grey
Art by @rafsalazart

Next up is a mutant that needs no introduction, the marvel girl, Jean Grey. As iconic as her 90s look is, this Red and Blue outfit might be her next best.

Really excited for Jean joining the MCU. Maybe they can finally do the Phoenix Saga properly. Third times the charm.

X-Men: Gold Team. Pyro 🔥
Art by @artofdonaguillo

Heating things up with this familiar fire fiend, Simon Lasker. He is second one to wear the mantle of Pyro. Similarly to the OG, he started as a villain in the brotherhood, but eventually sought to redeem himself and join up with the X-men.

Not similarly to the OG, he sought to heats things up with Iceman… in bed.

X-Men: Red Team. Trinary
Art by @rafsalazart

Finishing off this set is the technopath Shilpa Khatri. Her debut in the comics was pretty cool, especially since she joins up with the newly resurrected Jean. However, she hasn’t really had much of a presence in the comics since, and kinda just faded into obscurity.

Of course she deserves better. Which is why it’s nice to spotlight her with this piece.

All three pieces will be available as prints next week @theuncannyexp

X-Men: Gold Team. Armor
Art by @artofdonaguillo

The next piece of the set comes crashing through with Armor! Another character that’s not so known, Hisako Ichiki can generate a powerful psionic exoskeleton. It was cool to see her debut in the X-Men anime from 2011. I feel like she’s underrated and so close to being as iconic as Kitty Pryde.
