FAITH IN FOCUS: How the Film “STRONG” Celebrates Love, Resilience, and the Power of Conviction.

In a world where cinema often gravitates towards the sensational and the fantastical, “STRONG” serves as a refreshing narrative that delves deep into the essence of human relationships, faith, and resilience. This faith-based film follows the poignant journey of Lami (Sophie Alakija) and Sota (Chris Okagbue), a couple whose love appears unshakeable yet is tested by a severe life challenge.

The film showcases how, even in the darkest moments, faith can provide a beacon of hope. It explores the dimensions of love that are often not discussed: the hard work, the perseverance, and the mutual growth that comes from facing life’s challenges together. Through its narrative, “STRONG” encourages viewers to reflect on the importance of supporting loved ones unconditionally, fostering an environment where every challenge can be faced with combined strength.

In the words of writer, producer, and director Dimbo Atiya, “With ‘STRONG’, we aimed to explore the resilience of the human spirit, especially within the sanctity of marriage. It’s a tribute to those who fight tirelessly to preserve love, often against formidable challenges. This film is a testament to the power of faith, hope, and unwavering commitment to one another.” Atiya’s vision is evident throughout the film as it intricately displays the dynamics of a faith-filled marriage that withstands the tests of time and hardship.

It’s a powerful reminder of how, even in an era of rapid cultural and societal shifts, the timeless virtues of love, commitment, and faith remain the unshakeable pillars that can guide us through any storm.
