An evening of stories from two nations, one screen. 🎬

Here is how “Russia–Bangladesh: Two Nations, One Screen” unfolded:

✨ Guests arrived and the evening opened with warm welcome speeches from Ms. Alexandra A. Khlevnoy, Director of Russian House, and Prof. Dr. Sumon Rahman, Head of the Department of Media Studies and Journalism, ULAB.
🎥 Three Russian short films took us into stories from Russia.

Today we celebrate someone who left a mark on DIMFF that will never fade. 🎬❤️

Happy Birthday to Hosain Haque — Former Festival Director, DIMFF 2025!

Every edition of DIMFF is built on the shoulders of the one before it. The 117 submissions from 28 countries that DIMFF 2025 achieved — that was his vision, his leadership, his sleepless nights.

Because of what he built, DIMFF 2027 reached 300+ submissions from 85+ countries. That growth has his fingerprints all over it.

Once a Festival Director — always part of the DIMFF legacy. ❤️

Happy Birthday Hosain Bhai. Wishing you all the joy, success, and happiness you deserve today and always. 🎂🎉

Once DIMFF family — always DIMFF family.
