its so crazy how time flies so fast. i will forever be grateful to every single one of you for staying with me these past few years! honestly, its been a bit rocky but restarting this account was probably the best decision ever. ive made more friends here than i have in real life even if im not as active as i want to. i love seeing everyone express themselves & i love how supportive everyone is to each other. i cannot thank you guys enough for even reading this 🥹

pieces of my birthday

i will always appreciate july & this year, its a bit different because ive been working my big girl job for a month, exactly on my birthday, the 20th! it feels so bittersweet because i spent most of whats supposed to be my special day at work :’) but starting & ending my day with my family, going on a roadtrip, shopping & food made up for it. wish it was a bit different but i wouldn’t have it any other way. feeling so blessed 🫶🏻 by @dinasreadingera

my (new) current read ⊹ ࣪ ˖ 𝜗ৎ

some of you saw my most recent post, which is now archived, that my current read was ‘the naturals’. i have to say i was pretty stuck on that one. i havent flipped a page ever since so i decided to read whats on my kindle. for you know, convenience.

one of the series id like to read this year was the ‘made’ series. and indeed, i have made progress on this one! so far, ive giggled twice and im preparing how this is gonna go down. lets hope this book will get me out of a slump 😭 by @dinasreadingera

recent book haul + meet Luna the pegasus 🩵

family & i went on a short roadtrip recently, guess who found all 4 of the naturals series? ME! finally! they had more options this time which i was so excited about but i had to restrain myself or i’d go crazy. and money feels weird when theres dollar conversion involve 🫪

i was planning on looking at some jellycats too. i was hoping they had the unicorn which technically, they did but as you can see, its massive and i was contemplating because last time, they had the regular sized one but im so happy i got the pegasus that i thought was a dragon 🫢 by @dinasreadingera

my eid outfits 🎀

and i left feeling content from being surrounded by the flowers, the environment, the stress from not knowing what to do yet i still did it, meeting new people, spending time with my cousin, getting a free drink & a treat with my name on it is a plus 🤩 by @dinasreadingera

my best read of 2025 🍋🌳
(probably in my life, so far)

*major plot SPOILER*

i read this book during Ramadhan and it was perfect. i keep finding myself thinking back about this on a random friday. it was hauntingly beautiful. the writing made it easy to visualize the world they were living in yet we cant truly understand everything they went through because how can you? everything around them was wreckage and debris. everyone around them was scared out of their mind, praying its not their last day yet the children were still playing, having fun and they still had faith and found the beauty in their country. with the genocide going on in our world right now, it felt too real. i couldnt get to the next chapter without my heart feeling heavier.

as im writing this, i can feel my heart ripping open again. the friendship between our main character and her best friend Layla who is also her sister in law was lovely. you can feel they were genuine friends before. now, they only have each other and you can tell Salama needed her so when we found out the Layla she has been talking to wasnt real, i lost it. like full on sobbing. it hurts more because Layla was pregnant. that, for me, was the best twist ever.

this is also a fated love. i find it so beautiful that they fell in love in a world where you have to put your lives in God’s hands (technically...). Salama and Kenan was so cute to read about. they were meant for each other, literally. they were about to be wed and when they are together, they both feel familiar to each other. i love me my halal romance. also, her relationship with his siblings, adorable.

one of my biggest love for this book is the Islamic representation. reading about a hijabi made me feel seen. overall, it was incredible, gut wrenching yet empowering. such a memorable story. it was a well deserved 5 stars. by @dinasreadingera

what i read in a week 💫🛫
(vacation edition)

i think it was a pretty good reading week for someone who got back to the hotel every night and then home completely tired. dont be fooled, i usually read 1 book in a week so this is a big deal for me by @dinasreadingera
