New video release today! 🎉 Thank you to @the_strad_ magazine for featuring my performance of Eugene Ysaÿe’s Sonata No. 3, “Ballade.” I fell in love with this piece early on in my violin-playing journey and am excited to perform it here. Watch the full video on thestrad.com 📺 🎻

TŌN welcomes guest conductor Kellen Gray, Associate Artist of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (Glasgow, UK) and Artistic Director of the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra (Indiana, US) and violinist Melissa White, a first-prize laureate in the Sphinx Competition and a founding member of the Grammy-winning Harlem Quartet, for a concert highlighting the music of four celebrated American composers. Aaron Copland’s rhythmically intricate 1933 “Short Symphony” will be performed alongside two works by Black composers of the same generation. The soulful Violin Concerto No. 1 by Florence Price dates to 1939, but was never performed in the composer’s lifetime, having only been found in 2009 and premiered in 2018. William Grant Still’s optimistic Fourth Symphony, “Autochthonous”, imagines America as a place of ingenuity and inclusivity. Also on the program is the meditative recent work Hymn for Everyone by Jessie Montgomery, Performance Today’s 2025 Classical Woman of the Year.

Thrilled to share my 2026/27 season.

The months ahead will bring performances across North America and Europe—from Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Prokofiev and Rachmaninov concertos to recitals and chamber music with wonderful colleagues.

I’m especially looking forward to returning to familiar stages, discovering new ones, and sharing this music with audiences in so many different places.

I hope to see you somewhere along the way.

The 2026-27 season is live, and we’ve hit the ground running! Thrilled to share more artist happenings, but here is a glimpse at some of the performances from this week alone:

The Borromeo String Quartet & pianist Henry Kramer reunited at Maverick Concerts on Sunday, pianist Stewart Goodyear performs twice with the Calgary Philharmonic this weekend, and we have TWO WORLD PREMIERES: the Harlem Quartet opening Richmond’s Belvedere Series at the American Civil War Museum with a new quartet by Damien Geter on Sunday, and Yevgeny Kutik opening the Rhode Island Phil season with the fabulous new violin concerto by Eric Nathan, highlighted by the Strad as the Premiere of the Month!! by @dininarts
