When you’re about to get stomped by a Tyrannosaurus rex. I’ve always liked this dynamic pose.

Had to snap a couple of photos with this iconic T. rex mount in the lobby of the Denver Museum of Nature and Science @denvermuseumns. This is a replica of a specimen found in Montana, USA. The mount was designed by none other than palaeontologist Bob Bakker. It was unveiled in 1987.

Makes me look rather small. Thanks to @dinosaurlaine for the photos!

Check out these incredible dinosaur tracks at @dinosaur.ridge!! There are over 250 fossil tracks at Dinosaur Ridge in Morrison, Colorado, which is also where the first identified Stegosaurus fossils were found. A big THANK YOU to Tony and James Pinto (@whydinosaurs) for inviting me to Dinosaur Ridge and to Kristen Kidd for the awesome tour!

I had such an awesome time catching up with my great friend and renowned paleontologist @dean_r_lomax, attending his fabulous talk, and touring the incredible collections at @denvermuseumns! I hadn't visited the Denver Museum of Nature and Science in 19 years. Such an exciting way to return!

Thank you @dean_r_lomax and everyone at @denvermuseumns for such an epic experience!

I can't believe it's been 19 years since I've visited @denvermuseumns! My visit in 2007 helped fuel my passion for paleontology which led me the following year to befriend an 18 year-old from England named Dean Lomax who was determined to become a professional paleontologist. I'm so excited to return to @denvermuseumns on Tuesday, 09/29, to attend an exciting talk by WORLD-RENOWNED paleontologist and my dear friend Dr. Dean Lomax (@dean_r_lomax) about "The Secret Lives of Dinosaurs and the Adventures of a Paleontologist." Dr. Lomax's journey is such an inspiring reminder to me that anything is possible when we are moving forward with passion and purpose. If you're in Denver do not miss this very special event!

On Wednesday, the dino festivities will continue with an exclusive screening of the incredible, award-winning @whydinosaurs film with which Dr. Lomax and I have been so proud to be involved for many years.

Through visiting museums and volunteering, my interest in paleontology turned into a passion that changed my life forever.

So many paleo journeys are rooted in public access to museums- from the children whose weekend visits and field trips fuel a passion for natural history that leads to a career in science, to adults like me, whose museum visits ignite a passion that grows and enriches their life through becoming involved.

I am deeply saddened about the plan to close @acadnatsci the oldest natural history museum in the US. Closing public access to any natural history museum, let alone such an esteemed and historically significant institution, closes such a POWERFUL gateway to science and closes the door on so many journeys that may never unfold 😢

This reel is from my own journey which has included volunteering at @orlandosciencecenter at the encouragement of @dinosaurpodcast and @wydinocenter where I first met @dean_r_lomax, and inspiring visits to @denvermuseumns and @museum_of_the_rockies to name a few. I cannot even imagine just HOW MANY people's passion for natural history was ignited at @acadnatsci over its nearly 200 years!

I truly hope something can be done to keep @acadnatsci open before that door is shut forever.

Remembering my dad today on what would have been his 80th birthday. 🎂🕊 He was a pilot and US Marine Corps veteran, devoted husband of over 55 years to my mom, a father who loved his quirky child unconditionally, a devoted friend, and a beloved uncle and brother-in-law. My dad was kind-hearted, deeply spiritual, adventurous, funny and he always reminded me of the importance of staying positive and motivated even when the going gets tough. I miss him more than words can express but I'm so grateful to have had him as my father and role model. ❤️ by @dinosaurlaine

Reconstruction of Hypsilophodon foxii with baby by the awesome Lyn Joyce (@monsteremporium) of Planet Earth Sculpture. This is part of the Jurassic Mall exhibit at the Lake Square Mall in Leesburg, FL. Based on fossil evidence, it's definitely plausible they took care of their young.

I've been reading about Hypsilophodon foxii in the fabulous book Dinosaurs of the British Isles by my great friend Dr. Dean Lomax (@dean_r_lomax).

Although there's been no direct evidence of feathers on Hypsilophodon, it's not impossible. What do you think?

Today on her birthday, I'm remembering my Aunt Kay, who was there from the very beginning of my paleo journey. I was visiting her in Columbus, Ohio when a little Spinosaurus tooth piqued my curiosity and set me on the adventure of a lifetime. I miss you, Aunt Kay, and thank you for being such an important part of my life and journey ❤️🦖🦕
